Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence Coupe : world premiere at the Virtual Palm Beach International Boat Show
Ocean Alexander never ceases to amaze us and 
has no intention of stopping even when, for reasons of force majeure, the unveiling of its new creature takes place only virtually and not in a tangible way.
But there will be way and time to see first-hand the Divergence Coupe, the latest 14-meter luxury open yacht by Ocean Alexander, the word-class shipyard specialized in the manufacture of boats from 70 to 120 feet that, last year, launched the Divergence range, represented by smaller yet equally appealing boats that could be defined as the “chase boats” of superyachts.
Well, the 45 Divergence Coupe limited edition takes shape in world premiere at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2020 (in digital version this year due to the Covid-19 emergency) and is revealed to our eyes in all her elegance and versatility.
The possibility to choose between more than 400 variations of the cosmetic appearance, combined with a wide array of optional amenities, makes the Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence Coupe a high-end yacht with innovative engineering.
In short, the visual impact is strong and you immediately have the feeling of climbing on board – at least virtually – an extraordinarily luxury and comfortable fishing machine, suitable for family cruising and overnight trips.
Slender and intriguing exterior lines
High and imposing, the bow is surprisingly eye-catching. The hull profile is slender, aerodynamic and intriguing.
The main deck is accessible through one of the two lateral openings that, without being forced to make jumps or complicated balances, comfortably gives way and transforms the cockpit, equipped with a folding table in the middle and a sofa in the stern, within a large beach area, as proof of the amazing “metamorphosis” of this yacht.
The deck plan is spread over two levels. The extraordinary bow sundeck is accessible through three steps, which are illuminated at night by external spotlights.
The abundant beam allows to take full adavantage from both the large side-decks and a helm station which, as we will see shortly, is extremely welcoming.
In the stern, four powerful Mercury Verado 350HP engines complete the elegant and sporty spirit of the 45 Divergence Coupe.
Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence Coupe: refined and bright interior design
The lounge area is
very spacious and bright, thanks to the large windows which offer an exhaustive panoramic view, and a modern lighting system. No aestetic or functional detail is left to chance and there is no trace of any sharp edge.
On the left of the helm station, a beautiful U-shaped sofa and the dinette offer an amazing feeling of comfort and style, corroborated by refined finishes.
The lower deck accommodates the VIP cabin, with a bed and a small sofa; continuing forward, there is the galley, with a large hob, dinette and sofas; finally, the master cabin, with double bed and en-suite bathroom.
The interior design is definitively sophisticated and the colours, tending to the cream and light brown tones of the wood, make the environment below deck tidy and bright.
