The Cannes Yachting Festival returns in less than 2 weeks to showcase the luxury of international yachting. This is the 40th edition, with 600 boats and more than 550 exhibitors. Although these numbers have risen sharply, they are still almost 40% lower than those of the Genoa Boat Show, with which competition is high. A total of 6 days will be devoted to the Cannes exhibition, which will be held from September 7-12. The Cannes Yachting Festival will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Friday the exhibition will be lit up by the night-time charm of the beautifully lit bridges until 10 p.m., while on Sunday the gates will close at 6 p.m. There is something new for everyone: at Port Canto, in the festival’s sailing area on the other side of the Croisette, admission will be free between 10 and 11 a.m.

Cannes Yachting Festival: 140 world premieres scheduled

In total there will be around 140 world premieres of yachts and superyachts. A number of international shipyards will be exhibiting their full ranges of yachts. Numerous marinas will also be present, offering their port services. There will be plenty of nautical accessories and equipment. The complete list of exhibitors is available here, as is the list of boats at this link. Forecast speak of 50,000 visitors if the figures of the last edition (2019) will be confirmed, after the one-year break imposed by the pandemic.

The return of the Festival to the French Riviera

The Yachting Festival is back in Cannes, and exhibitors are returning with a desire to take revenge on the missed opportunities even in this 2021, when trade fair events have been reduced to almost nothing. The reason for this is the health emergency, which is not affecting the ultra-solid nautical sector. But it obviously contributes to an unfavourable climate for the great rise of pleasure boating, which, however, according to the figures, is unrivalled in virtually every sector. The results are flattering, we repeat, in spite of the complications generated by the slowdown in production, and even in the sailing and sporting sector there have been difficulties.

Luxury and yachts

The Cannes Riviera is puttingCannes Yachting Festival yachts the finishing touches: “the festival will be organized by boat type”: at the Vieux Port the yachts and superyachts, and on the other side of the Croisette, at Port Canto, multihulls and sailboats. A strict order of separating things, each in its place, but with almost a nautical mile of distance. Lifestyle glitz reigns in all its guises at Vieux Port in the ‘Luxury Galley’, where there is no shortage of shopping opportunities. Moreover, there is the “Yacht Brokerage & Charter” section for superyacht charters. There is also a “Toys” area for tenders, jet skis and on-board equipment at Port Canto.

There will be exceptional partners including luxury brands such as Bentley which will provide the car service. Gourmet restaurants and Louis Roederer champagne galore. The International Yachting Media is the official media partner of the event. A land-based shuttle service and, of course, a sea shuttle will connect the two ports of the Cannes Yachting Festival. Entry tickets are only online to avoid dangerous crowds. There is no on-site ticketing and health pass is compulsory.
