She will be unveiled next autumn but we visited Absolute’s yard in Podenzano, Italy, to take a look to the new enlargement (we’ll tell you it below) and take the very first pictures of new Absolute 58 Fly.
We were lucky since the boat (number 1) you can see in this article was ready to travel to the Gold Coast Boat Show in Hong Kong, where she will be presented in worldwide preview.
In Europe, on the contrary, she will be launched at next Cannes Yachting Festival.
Her particular bronze colour, too, as Cesare Mastroianni (Vice President and Sales CCO of Absolute Yachts) told us, is a trait of the boats destined to Far East.
The pictures we show you in this article are still a little “rough” since they depict a boat staying in the yard before her first sea trials. New Absolute 58 Fly is 17.24 m long, 4.8 m wide and she’s pushed by two IPS D8-800 Volvo Penta 625 HP engines, launched in 2016. Interior layout envisages three stateroom double cabins, three bathrooms and a crew cabin whose entrance is separated from the astern bridge.
We particularly liked the high-quality finishes, especially in the cockpit, the led lights, the spacious flybridge and the “boundless” extension of glass surfaces, in addition to the comfortable additional fore cockpit. Furthermore, Cesare Mastroianni showed us the yard, their exclusive ISS construction system which consists of a modern use of wood and fiberglass for structures and the new wing of the establishment (in the picture below).
” It was necessary – told Mastroianni – both because of the number of orders we receive – the entire production of 2017 and even the first months of 2018 are already covered – and the growth in the average length of our boats”. This way, the production structure of Absolute acquires 7,200 additional square metres for a total surface of 24,200 sq.m.
Excellent the numbers communicated for the period between 2015 and the first 6 months of 2016: +12% in terms of employees, + 19% as concerns the average size of boats and an increase by 51% in turnover.
