Great success for Absolute Yachts at Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. At the American boat show, the Italian boatyard has shown the reasons which have led it to succeed over the last few years. In other words, the unstoppable growing path of the brand, which has always aimed to lead the global yachting market, is now represented by new models, new achievements and interesting future plans.
New models are inevitably the elements that visitors find most interesting. The real queen of the event is the new Navetta 48, presented as a world première and scheduled to be launched only in 2018. The new, and smallest, member of the Navetta family – a line that has successfully offered a modern reinterpretation of Absolute’s creations over the last few years – is a synthesis of all the hallmarks of the range. Boasting a length of 48 feet, this yacht guarantees high performance – probably, she is even more performing that her older sister, the Navetta 52 – and extraordinary fuel efficiency: she uses just 5.7 l/nm when travelling at 15 knots.
Both interior and exterior layouts replicate the unmistakable Absolute’s functionality and aesthetical design. Large sun pads are positioned both on the fly bridge – which is the genuine social hub of this boat – and at the bow. The side door on the starboard side continues to link the steering console with the side-deck. The galley remains located next to the cockpit, easily accessible from both inside and outside through a large folding sliding door.
Benefiting from the generous hull volumes, the lower deck hosts three double cabins, each with en-suite bathroom, plus a crew cabin in the stern.
All new Absolute’s 2018 creations – the Navetta 48, the Navetta 73 (the flagship of the line) and the 58 Fly – can rely on a highly evolved production site, equipped with cutting-edge tools and technology along with advanced lamination and woodwork departments with automated and numerically-controlled machines. Both painting and lamination departments will be even enlarged in 2019.
This ongoing growth is supported by the excellent results the Absolute management has managed to achieve in the last five-year-period, in the same years when many Italian boat manufacturers were fighting against a terrible crisis.
Since 2012, turnover has constantly registered a double-digit growth ranging from 23 to 56% and forecast for 2016-2017 management is optimistic. Such satisfying achievement has been possibile thanks to Absolute’s attractiveness to global customers. 63.4% of total turnover indeed comes from extra-European countries, 27.27% of which comes from the American continent.
