Aston Martin and the Dutch shipbuilder Quintessence Yachts have celebrated the imminent launch (there isn’t a certain date but it should be next September) of AM37 at the Salone del Mobile of Milan (Furnishing Show) with an exhibition which will be open until April 18th at Larusmiani’s shop in Monte Napoleone Street.

Here are the renderings of what seems to be a small revolution in yachting world. It’s not the first time that boating and car world meet together but this time there are very high expectations.

Aston Martin is a symbol in 4-wheel-world, synonymous of power, technology, beauty and style. Its influence is evident on AM37, starting from seats and dashboard.

The motorboat will be provided with a vertical-control-technology and its cockpit will be quipped with an electric sliding covering system which will teach to “close” the boat at the end of the day with a simple “key turn”, like in a car.

It’s true that a beautiful simple shape is essential for a product to be successful – has declared Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Office – but it must also have some pathos. For Aston Martin, design is essential and we have transferred it on AM37. This new motorboat represents a perfect combination between luxury and technology: a powerful but simple item.

AM37 is the result of years of research and development which will challenge the boating world’s status quo: “We have translated design into functionality and technology to exalt on-board experience. AM37 represents a very new concept in yachting world”, has declared Mariella Mengozzi, Quintessence Yachts’ Chief Executive Officer.
