“ If you have to ask me how much it costs, you can’t afford it”. Far from being nice, this expression, however, successfully reflects what Brabus thinks about its corporate philosophy. The Dusseldorf-based company is indeed the recognized world leader in luxury and performance car optimization, partner of various world-class car manufacturers including, first of all, Mercedes. Highly quality and high prices represent together the hallmark of Brabus which can count on five modern factories and a multitude of flagship stores in Dubai, London, Düsseldorf, China and California.
The synergy established between Axopar Boats Oy design know-how and Brabus talents with this first unit sounds like the prelude to a long-term alliance since the two companies have decided to invest in a new high-tech production site based in Bottrop, in mist-west Germany. There, the whole future luxury Brabus/Axopar range will be produced and will include boats up to 45 feet in length.
Based upon the same underwater lines as the Axopar 37, the Shadow 800 is designed to be used as a superyacht luxury tender and, of course, for not going unnoticed.
Contrasting saturated colours, an extensive use of black lacquered steel, Sunbrella Silvertex upholstery for the helm station seats, Brabus red leather for the guests’ one, a large use of alcantara leather, black titanium finishes and a multitude of carbon elements, such as the electrically-operated sun top, are just some of the main features composing the design of this boat.
The Brabus Shadow 800 benefits from spacious inner volumes and a forward double-berth cabin. All spaces are well-arranged and highly comfortable and everything is in the right place, from tv screen and lights to the clever “Touch-To-Can” control panel.
The helm console houses two 12-inch chart plotters screens ( two 16-inch ones can be installed on demand) giving push-botton control for all on-board functions and navigation data. Furthermore, the Brabus Shadow 800 is equipped with the Mercury Vessel View 903 system for controlling, via Bluetooth and through a simple smartphone, all engine functions – such as fuel consumption, maintenance reminder, battery voltage, operating hours – and a vast array of data, such as maps, the position of dealers, filling stations, restaurants and assistance centres.
Furthermore, all Brabus Shadow owners will receive the Garmin Quatix 5 Sapphire multisport marine wristwatch as part of the standard package. Watches will be connected to Garmin chart plotter screens and will receive data about speed, depth, temperature and wind. Functionality extends to control of navigation, entertainment, personal fitness data-logging and much more.
The Shadow 800 is powered by dual Mercury Verado 400R supercharged racing engines.
Production is scheduled to start next April. For the time being, the boat is offered for sale at € 397,500.00.
