After four yachts designed with the same yard, Azimut-Benetti, a shipowner knows what he really wants from his boat…so, for his fifth one, a 45-metre yacht, a great synergy between the owner, the yard workers and designers was activated. The aim was a full-custom boat, with round clear lines, made of steel and aluminium and designed for family trips.
M/Y Domani project was so successful that Benetti decided to transform it into a real line which represents the best of Class range and the smallest model of Full-Custom line. This is why FB701 is a real link between these two product segments.
The yacht is pushed by two Kohler 125 Kw generators and Caterpillar CAT C32 ACERT ( 1081 kw, 2100 rpm) engines which allow a 4000-mile autonomy at 10.5 knots.
But the main feature of M/Y Domani is the possibility to manage spaces, which have been optimized and developed on four decks: Lower, Main, Upper and Sun Deck.
The Lower Deck receives guests in two double cabins and two twin-bed ones, while the engine room is aft, near the garage which, in its turn, can receive a tender and two water motors, and the beach club, equipped with an opening hatch which allows to enjoy a living zone obtained on an about 33-square-metre surface and a bar area.
The Main Deck, equipped with full-height windows offering a 180-degree-view is composed by an astern external area dedicated to the entrance. Here, there is also the full-beam shipowner’s cabin provided with a private terrace and linked to the Upper Deck, which hosts a 100-square-metre sunbathing platform.
The Sun Deck is divided into three different spaces: the astern zone used as lounge and sunbathing platform, the central zone, designed as a lunch area and with a sliding door, the fore zone, with swimming pool and sunbathing area; this area can also used as a unique space. The result is a very versatile custom-made yacht.
Technical rooms are completely divided from the other ones to provide passengers with more privacy.
Interiors, designed by Carlo Galeazzi, include very elegant and “made in Italy” details signed by brands like Cassina, Minotti, Flos, Collezione Privata De Lucchi, Rimadesio, Vittoria, Flexform, B&B, Maxalto.
The innovation of M/Y Domani lies in the introduction of some loose elements – such as, for example, the beds in the shipowner’s cabin- which allow to make on-board spaces larger and obtain a greater customization. Moreover, design is perfectly combined with high technology as in the case of televisions, backlit and located everywhere. The pilot house is equipped with Team Italia navigation system and comfortable pilot armchairs.
