BENETTI LAUNCHES THE SECOND CLASS DISPLACEMENT MEDITERRANEO 116′ SUPERYACHT

In a sector like boat industry, a history of over 100 years is already synonymous with quality. However, customers’ trust is an indisputable certificate.

Benetti has recently launched the second Mediterraneo 116′ superyacht in Viareggio as a further implementation in the already successful Class Displacement range. Made of fiberglass and carbon fiber, the yacht is 35.5 metres long and is scheduled to be delivered to its owner next October 30th.

Exterior design, characterized by slinky streamlined lines, perfectly reflects the choices of Giorgio Maria Cassetta, the architect who already designed hull number one.

The Mediterraneo 116′ features spacious exterior spaces, equipped with sun pads, sofas, chaises longues and highly comfortable armchairs where both the owner and his guests can enjoy moments of pure relaxation. With an extension of over 80 square metres, the Sun Deck offers a flush walkable surface of about 16 metres.

The particular attention devoted by designers to spaciousness is also confirmed in the two dining areas: in particular, that one located in the cockpit on the upper deck is over 6 metres wide!

Interior design was carefully created by Benetti Interior Style Department with the collaboration of the owner’s personal architect. The result is a creation with particular focus on livability and interior brightness, guaranteed by a clever installation of flush spaces, glazed surfaces and a crystal door.

The Main Deck offers a spacious lounge equipped with a dining and a relaxation area. Three-metre long windows continue the theme of natural light permeating the interior and contribute to create an remarkable inside-outside continuity of space.

The first Benetti Mediterraneo 116′

The fore section of the same deck houses the full-beam Master Suite that, including both a studio and the owner’s cabin, is decorated with very wide windows: that one in the cabin is 3.40 metres long!

The Lower Deck houses four guest cabins split between two VIP double ones in the bow and two cabins furnished with sliding and pulman berths.

Finally, the upper deck located next to the pilot station, hosts the crew quarters where accommodation is for up to 7 people in addition to a captain’s cabin situated next to the pilot station.

Power will come from a pair of Cat Acer C32 1600 HP diesel engines that will propel the Mediterraneo 116′ to a cruising speed of about 14 knots, topping out at 15 knots.

Thanks to a 33,000-liter fuel tank and at a speed of 10 knot, range will reach 3,000 nautical miles.
