BOATANDBOATS AT GENOA BOAT SHOW

The 56th Genoa Boat Show is coming in less than one week. This year, for the first time, the event starts 15 days before the traditional appointment in the first week of October. There’s a great deal of interest and curiosity around the event, competition is strong ( Cannes Yachting Festival has just finished) and the conflict between the two main Italian boating associations, Ucina and Nautica Italiana, doesn’t help.

The first numbers, definitive at this point, about boating’s trend in  2016 are very encouraging: they report a 17.1% increase in turnover in 2015 compared to 2014. Particularly positive is the return of many important names of Italian and European boating (English brands, in the first place) within a huge exhibition area ( 180,000 square metres, 100,000 of which in water, where boats can moor and visitors can even test them). Sure, they’re not the same numbers of 2008/2009 but they are positive anyway.

Boatandboats and our Italian and Spanish editions, Tuttobarche and Todoslosbarcos, will be at Genoa Boat Show, too. We’ll have a wonderful stand inside Sailing World Stand Y6, a few steps away the quays and Theatre of the Sea. From there, we’ll publish a rich special report every day.

Among the English news, Princess will exhibit 3 new models: 30 Mt, S65 and V58; Sunseeker will present its new Sunseeker 95, while Fairline will show Fairline Squadron 53, Targa 53 and 48.
