The 32nd annual Palm Beach International Boat Show starts today and the staff of Boatandboats.com is ready for a new overseas adventure. Less than one month after the Miami Boat Show, we’ve decided to come back to the States because the US market is currently the world’s most vibrant one. So, from now until March 26th, along Flagler Drive, Downtown West Palm Beach, we’ll follow what is one of the top 5 boat shows in the country and one of the top 10 boating events in the world with great interest and attention. Among its peculiarities, the Palm Beach International Boat Show offers its visitors the chance of joining it directly by their own boat. Yachtsmen are indeed incentivized to use the waterways of the shire to get the free docks located near the in-water displays.
What is certain is that it will be a very rich kermesse. According to organizers, what the event will showcase under the Florida sun is a sea of yachts, boats and marine accessories worth more than $1.2 billion, including all kinds of boats, from small inflatables to superyachts up to 65 metres in length. This year’s show will also welcome several exhibitors from top European boat-builders, such as Amels, Feadship, Heesen, Moonen, Azimut/Benetti, Ferretti, Palumbo, Codecasa, Overmarine, Admiral, Absolute and Rio Yachts.
As you can easily guess from the above-mentioned brands, this second US appointment of the year will heavily focus on motorboats. Only 7 sailboats will be exhibited, including four big yachts ranging from 30 to 45 metres and three French models. For the rest, it’s the triumph of powerboats. In this boundless stable of marine horsepowers, our task will be to identify by the different manufactures. Both US boat-builders and more resourceful European brands focus on this newfound marine market. There will be no lack of doozies and we’ll be ready to tell them after our close journalistic inspection, as usual.
