CARNIVAL RACE STARTS WITH 130 BOATS

There all the right ingredients: passion, sea, not bad weather and, above all, people, hundreds of sailors from all around Europe.

The appointment is the second edition of the Carnival Race, organised by the Yacht Club of Sanremo, which will take place in Marina degli Aregai from tomorrow to 21th February. The enrolled boats are 130 and they will start their trials tomorrow in this important competition opposing the best experts of 420 and 470 categories.

In particular, there is a lot of expectation about the performances of the two reigning world champions,Edoardo Ferraro and Francesco Orlando who will sail for the Yacht Club Sanremo, and the couple Veronica Ferraro-Giulia Ierardi, winners of the European and World Cup in the female category last year, always belonging to the Sanremo Club.

Marina degli Aregai will host a great show and it will be only the beginning of a long season for 420 category.

Next week, in fact, the first selection for the World Championship will take place; next April and July, the World Cup, when West coasts of Liguria will greet about 300 boats from over 30 countries.
