CF8 is a yacht, or better an idea, on the very edges of design and luxury. A concept designed by the Dutch Sea Level Engineering, ready to be planned if a billionaire decided to finance the project.
Not only equipments, the entire yacht concept is luxurious and extremely original. As already proved by “A”, the sailing boat designed by Philippine Stark and wanted by the Russian billionaire Igorevich Melnichenko, anything is possible in boating if there are the necessary capitals.
CF8 means Car Family 80: the yachts is in fact 80 m and it is conceived for family trips and for the shipowner’s cars. In addition to 8 suites equipped with private bathroom, terrace, gym, cinema and spa, CF8 has a sort of car showroom which can host up to eight cars (luxurious cars, of course). Nothing innovative in the presence of a heliport, a garage for a small submarine and four water motors, and two lifts. But we’ve never hear before about a swimming pool, powered by a waterfall flowing between the two decks, which can be converted into a dance hall.
The shape is innovative, too: with a sort of empty space between the two decks covered by a complex transparent superstructure which runs from the bow to the poop by flooding interiors with light. The hull is very wide, which should give a great comfort. If the yacht was built, the crew should be made up of eighteen people. The cruising speed would be 20 knots for an autonomy of 5,000 miles.
