CMC Marine joins the NMMA and strengthens its position in America

CMC Marine, through its CMC Marine USA branch, has joined the NMMA, enhancing the value of the brand on the American market

CMC Marine strengthens the prestige of the brand on the overseas market. Through its CMC Marine USA branch, the leading brand in the sector of electrically-powered stabilization systems for yachts and superyachts, has officially joined the NMMA – National Marine Manufacturers Association –   the trade association that brings together the major companies in the boating industry of the USA and Canada.

The overseas market has always played a major role in the boating industry inasmuch as it is able to drive the entire sector at global level. In the case of CMC Marine (which, this year, has celebrated its 15th anniversary), the area in question represents a particularly important market segment since around 25% of yachts equipped with CMC Marine products sail between the USA and the Caribbean.

CMC Marine Waveless Stabilizers

This is one of the reasons why CMC Marine USA decided to join the NMMA. The over 1,300 member companies of the NMMA produce more than 80% of the boats, engines and accessories used by boat owners and yachtsmen in North America. The association acts at state and federal level to support and protect the interests of the boating industry and its users.

With this in mind, CMC Marine’s affiliation with NMMA is intended to give a concrete signal to its customers, who will now have an additional reason to rely on the company and its products. In operation since 2018 with offices in Fort Lauderdale, CMC Marine USA deals directly with the transatlantic market with the aim of consolidating the presence of the brand in the area, providing direct support and, finally, adapting products to the demands of local customers.

But the expansion of the CMC Marine brand is not only geographical but also mediatic: Alessandro Cappiello, CEO of CMC Marine, was chosen as outstanding panelist at Metstrade Connect, an interactive platform held on December 10 and structured as a meeting point on major boating issues.

The founder of CMC Marine will spoke at the Tech Talk dedicated to onboard comfort, confirming the Tuscan company’s leadership in the production of stabilization systems.

CMC Marine was one of the protagonists of Metstrade Connect on December 10, an event organized by RAI Amsterdam to make up for the cancellation of the 2020 Marine Equipment Trade Show (Mets), the Dutch show dedicated to pleasure boating components and accessories. The interactive platform includes several round tables (Tech Talk) on the main themes of the sector, such as the state of the international boating industry, sustainability of the sector, cyber security and yacht design.

The round table moderated by Ed Slack, editor of IBI Magazine and editorial director of IBI Boating Communications, analyzed the characteristics and steps needed to make yachting safe and comfortable, and then discuss the possible contribution of other sectors to comfort onboard yachts.

“Being chosen for this event is yet another confirmation of the work done in recent years and of our international expansion – Cappiello said – Mets Connect is a useful and original event, which differs from other online trade-fairs staged in recent months: discussion is very important in an industry like ours, which is increasingly international and varied and ready to welcome suggestions and technologies from other sectors such as automotive, home automation or industrial design”.

The “Onboard Comfort” Tech Talk took place online on Thursday December 10, from 12.30 pm to 1.15 pm.
