Contest 57CS : sailing on the Rhine, here comes a queen

The Contest 57 CS arrives at Boot Dusseldorf

Preparations for the 50th edition of Boot Dusseldorf, the world’s largest out-of-water boat show, are in full swing.  The event will open its doors on January 19th but the organisational structure of the boat show is already at work to prepare what is expected to be a very special edition.

” Big Willi”, the famous travel lift of the boat show, started to work yesterday and, among the first vessels that got its attention, we noticed a special boat, destined to capture the boat show public’s attention.

We’re talking about the Contest 57 CS, a real queen of the sea.

Built with the proverbial care that Contest Yachts unconditionally uses for all its boats, this blue water cruiser has a length of more than 17 meters and a weight of little more than 25 tons. The interiors of this sailing yacht are designed on the basis of owners’ demands and offered in different layouts that can include 3 or 4 cabins, in addition to the inevitable crew quarters.

This sailboat fully reflects the easy sailing philosophy and can be steered easily by a small crew that can effortlessly manage the almost 200 square meters of canvas that enable the Contest 57 CS to be surprisingly fast.

However, since it is still not possible to see this queen in action, what will leave visitors speechless will be certainly its high construction quality. Simple luxury and attention to details are the common denominator of a boat that has only few rivals in the current scenario.

And we know that very well. The sea trial of the Contest 42 CS simply bewitched us. Beautiful, fast and perfectly built, she is the smaller sister of this Contest 57 CS on board of which we are looking forward for climbing.
