Navaltecnosud : vertical cradles make life easier for shipyards

Having the right equipment to keep boats stable and safe is crucial for any boatyard. Even better if the equipment concerned can be used for both sailing and motor boats. This is something well known at Navaltecnosud, a company that manufactures a wide range of items such as cradles, stands, heels, fixed and transportable saddles with motorized trolleys, slingbars, towed trolleys, cabins, and racks for dry storage. These are high quality products, all CE certified, manufactured in Italy and exported all over the world, also thanks to the unrivalled customization possibilities offered by the company.

Vertical cradles for both sailing and motor boats

Vertical cradles are among the most popular products in the Navaltecnosud’s range. Many prestigious shipyards have already chosen them for their boats, such as San Lorenzo and Ferretti. They are ideal to be placed on the side of the stern of small, medium and large-sized motor boats, including superyachts. They stem out from the careful design effort put in place by the Navaltecnosud technical office, which has developed this item with the precise goal of making life easier for shipyards. Thanks to their special features, the Navaltecnosud vertical cradles are also suitable for sailing boats, especially when it comes to prop up in the bow and stern of large-sized units. This ability to support both types of boats underlines the practicality and functionality of the cradles in various situations.

“Versatility is the main strength of our vertical cradles – confirms Giampaolo Quaranta of Navaltecnosud – Their hat with a ball, in fact, allows an oscillation at 360 ° to better adapt with different boat inclinations”.

Another important feature of the Navaltecnosud vertical cradles lies in the solidity of the support: “Our equipment guarantees the safety of the boat during storage or in situations where boats need to be secured,” Mr. Quaranta emphasizes. To reach these standards, the cradles are made from materials that are resistant to weathering and corrosion from salt spray in shipyards.

The strengths of the Navaltecnosud cradles, however, go even beyond. Mr. Quaranta continues: “ The absolute quality of this product is also confirmed by the fact that it allows, by unscrewing the adjusting screws in turn and thanks to the alternability of the hats, to complete work on the hull first on one side and then on the other”.

Recently, Navaltecnosud has introduced a new version of vertical cradles with constant capacity, which, unlike the standard vertical model, do not lose their capacity when the telescope is fully open.
