D-Marin lands in Italy, expanding its berth portfolio in Liguria with the acquisition of the management of two marinas in the province of Imperia and an important agreement signed with the Azimut-Benetti group. A Turkish company specializing in the management of premium marinas worldwide, D-Marin announced the news in recent days, confirming its role as an international player in recreational boating.
Two new marinas in Liguria
The two new marinas to be operated by D-Marin starting in 2024 are Marina degli Aregai, in the city of Imperia, and Marina di San Lorenzo, in the province of Imperia.

Marina degli Aregai is one of the largest marinas in the Liguria region with 961 berths accommodating yachts up to 50 metres. The marina offers 24-hour mooring assistance, a dry dock, a shipyard, as well as a shopping complex with over 20 shops, restaurants, a 4-star hotel and a private beach.
- Marina di San Lorenzo is a premium marina with 268 berths for boats up to 40 metres. It offers hotel amenities with a spa and private beach and a shipyard. Its most recent investments include the introduction of superyacht berths.
This move expands D-Marin’s total portfolio to 26 marinas across the Mediterranean and Gulf regions. This is the first step that, through a business agreement with the Cozzi Parodi Group for the promotion and management of berths, will lead to a broader expansion strategy that will characterize the company’s 2024.

The agreement between D-Marin and Azimut-Benetti
The acquisition of the two marinas in the province of Imperia is part of a broader expansion strategy of D-Marin in Liguria, which has seen the Turkish company sign an agreement in recent days with the Azimut-Benetti group, which includes the Marina di Varazze company that manages the marina of the same name in the Ligurian town. The aim of the agreement is to develop an integrated network of tourist marinas and encourage the enhancement of services and commercial proposals dedicated to boat owners and customers. More specifically, the vision shared by Azimut-Benetti and D-Marin is to quickly innovate and facilitate yachting in the Mediterranean through a circuit of marinas marked by new quality standards.
“Network logic and modern service management will be the key elements of an experience that will take our marina to a new level of quality and excellence,” stresses Marina di Varazze director Giorgio Casareto. “Relationships with our customers, focused on maximum customization, will not change, but rather will be enriched with new content.”
One of the key elements of Marina di Varazze‘s integration into the D-Marin network is the possibility of free mooring in other marinas thanks to the “Happy Berth Days” special offer. In fact, this promotion will allow Marina di Varazze customers to moor for free, for up to seven days, at any other D-Marin marina. Moreover, in the event of longer stays, Marina di Varazze customers will receive a 40 % discount for mooring for up to four months. Marina degli Aregai and Marina di San Lorenzo will of course be included in the Happy Berth Days initiative.
