DEHLER 34, THE RETURN OF A LEGEND

Among the most successful models by Dehler, Dehler 34 is centainly at the top spot of the rankings. Small and evil, it was one of the precursors of fast-cruisers.

To celebrate the 30 years of life of its most important model ( 1,300 boats sold and famous for its strength) Dehler has decided to propose it again on the market in a new version sharing the traditional DNA. Since the arrival of Dehler 34 (in the picture below), all Dehler’s production has been a succession of “performance fast cruise boats”.

The new boat (10.70 metres long) has been designed by Judel/Vrolijk Studio and it will be launched next August. Among its features, there is a considerable floating length, 9.60 metres, thanks to a very vertical stempost and a powerful poop.

The rudder can have a bar or a double wheel and the sailing area can be 65 or 71  square metres ( in the second case, the mast can be made of carbon). The keel is available in three versions: T-shaped and 2.1 metres long or L-shaped ( 1.95 or 1.55 metres long). Among the optionals, a small astern opening dashboard and a fore bowsprit. The standard engine is a Volvo Penta 18 Hp engine. All those you will use Dehler 34 for their regattas can have lighter furniture.

Below deck, it’s possible to choose between a traditional separated fore cabin and a cabin linked to the central living zone. This one has two opposing linear sofas, a chart zone and a L-shaped kitchen. At the feet of the stepladder there is a bathroom, while a second double cabin is located on the poop. The two big lateral windows, inspired to bigger models’ design, give a great brightness to the central zone of the boat.

All in all, the planning formula seems to be the traditional Dehler’s one: speed for family. The Germany group has been one of the first shipbuilders to propose it on the market and since then it has been offering it with great coherence. The new Dehler 34 costs 108,500 Euros, VAT excluded.
