The original Privilege‘s idea was to attract sailing catamarans enthusiasts to a new product, a motor multihull with the same spaces than sailing models but easier to drive.
This is how Euphoria 5‘s project was born at the end of last year. Now, the first sample is finally under construction and it will be delivered in the first weeks of 2017.
It is a 50-foot-multihull, with a overall length of about 15 metres, designed by Marc Lombard, the same designer of all the other sailing multihulls.
The rear part of the hull has been modified to host a bigger and more powerful engine and a flybridge equipped with a hardtop.
Interiors are not particularly innovative and they offer three different versions.
The first one (the basic version) has three double cabins, two on the bow and two on the poop.
The second one has always four cabins: the fore shipowners’ cabin occupies two thirds of the total width, while the remaining space is occupied by the skipper’s cabin or a double cabin. The other two cabins are on the poop.
Finally, the third version has a shipowner’s cabin occupying the entire width of the fore section with two different entrances.
In the wardroom, the kitchen is just before the front wall and the sitting room oriented to the bow, while there is a large open-air space behind it, from which you can climb down in the sea through some steps obtained on the bow of the two hulls.
Provided with 2 180 HP engines, Euphoria 5 reaches a cruising speed of 12 knots for an autonomy of 1,500 miles.
The standard version, with 4 double cabins and 4 bathrooms, costs 1.254.000 Euros.
