The exhibition of Düsseldorf has seen the presentation of Sundacer 400, the new Sea Ray’s model and flagship of the Sport Yachts range. The brand from Knowville, in Teennesse (belonging to Brunswick Group), is a reference point in the world of American small motorboats but it has recently increased the average length of its boats; in particular with its L Class boats, from 590 to 650 model, the brand is entered into the world of big yachts.
In Sundencer 400 (12 metres long) there are two comfortable and contemporary cabins, a kitchen, an open-air wet bar with grill, fridge and washbasin (optionals) and a living area, particularly conceived as a continuity element between outside and inside. The living areas is the focal point of Sundancer 400’s design: it has been projected on a only one level in order to create a liveable and relaxing area. Space is almost entirely occupied by sofas, placed in a L shape, which can host up to 10 people.
Everything in Sundancer 400, from design to technology, suggests entertainment and relax: Sea Ray has equipped the boat with a hard top opening system in order to let sun light enter above the driver’s desk, electric awnings for the fore area, and modular doors between inner dinette and external space. As optional, Sundacer 400 can have a fore hydraulic platform with steps to climb down into the water.
The two cabins are well-arranged: wide, with convertible beds (from single to double bed) and a lot of stowage space. The fore shipowner’s cabin has enough space for a wardrobe or a second bathroom with shower. The standard astern cabin has twin beds but there is enough space for a third one.
Sundancer 400 enriches the production of Sea Ray, which is been producing motorboats (from 19 to 59 feet) since 1959.
