Evo Yachts wins the prestigious Altagamma Young Business Award in the “Engines and Speed” category.
2016).
Now in its second year, the recognition is presented to emerging Italian companies that have stood out for the design, quality and innovative content of their products. These are characteristics recognized by the award panel (Chairman Andrea Illy and the entire Board of Altagamma Foundation) in the revolutionary EVO 43′, an amazing day cruiser built by the Naples-based shipyard of Evo Yachts and a boat that, of course, we already tested last October.
Evo 43 is a 13-metre muscly and advanced day cruiser pushed by two Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines. The most important factor is that the boat is modular. Astern, the cockpit is entirely covered with teak and equipped with extensible cube-shaped seats, an extending table and a wide wet bar: a storable piece of furniture which includes a four-burner induction cooktop, a counter top and a sink, while the icebox housed under the captain’s seat has a capacity up to 180 l. The cockpit can be shaded by a large awning with carbon poles or carbon T-top.
On the stern, at the touch of a digital button, lateral bulwarks open hydraulically in less than 30 seconds increasing the available space by 40% and converting the cockpit into a 25-square-metre customizable terrace. The visual effect is guaranteed even from the quay: the boat transforms herself at the simple touch of an iPhone.
Product quality, attention to detail, striking design and highly innovative technology, combined with an aggressive expansion strategy on foreign markets, are the drivers behind the huge international success of EVO 43′ less than a year after the launch, contributing to Evo Yachts’ image as an emblem of Italian made quality worldwide.
The award ceremony was attended by the most important representatives from the world of Italian fashion, luxury and finance, such as: Borsa Italiana, Maserati, SDA Bocconi and L’Uomo Vogue. The award was accepted by Corrado Del Fanti – Head of Sales and Marketing.
“This acknowledgement – said brothers Giuseppe, Alfredo and Rosario Mercuri, Evo Yachts owners, springs from a heartfelt love of the sea, from creativity and from the desire to build a unique and innovative yacht able to combine technology, sporting prowess, Italian style and beauty. We would like to thank designer Valerio Rivellini and express our gratitude to the Altagamma Foundation for having rewarded our efforts. This recognition spurs us on to continue to innovate and to promote the value of Italian made products worldwide”.
