FIART 43 SEAWALKER PANORAMA Sea Trial

FIART 43 SEAWALKER PANORAMA, the latest addition to the FIART range is promising and made an immediate impression at the CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL, attracting the interest of many owners and visitors.

The Panorama version of the renowned Seawalker 43 stems from the idea of making the flagship of the range more versatile. The Seawalker 43 Panorama in fact retains all the distinctive plusses of the Fiart walkaround, while innovating the deck to become even more comfortable and usable even for long cruising: Mediterranean heart, with a sporty layout.

Major feature of this new version is an all-new, wide glass front windshield, which provides SW43 Panorama with perfect aerodynamics and optimized visibility for all angles, both while underway and while maneuvering.

The Seawalker 43 Panorama has been entirely designed and built by Fiart’s technical department, creating a product dedicated to the new needs of daily-users desiring longer cruises, but without sacrificing the freshness and style of a walkaround.

Aboard the FIART 43 PANORAMA: Exterior

Climbing aboard from the aft platform, the FIART 43 PANORAMA offers plenty of space indeed, and the platform provides easy access to the side walkway and the huge aft sundeck comfortable for four people who want to enjoy some relaxation just steps from the water.

In the middle of the aft platform we find a retractable ladder which, well integrated and of great utility, provides convenient access the sea. FIART 43 PANORAMA was born precisely to fully experience the sea without barriers but with a structure that is able to shelter and protect during the most demanding cruising and temperature conditions.

The backrest of the aft cushions, by sliding back, becomes an integral part of the table seating, which, positioned along the beam of the boat, allows as many as 6 people to have lunch/dinner in total comfort.

At the base of the large center column, which supports the boat’s large windshield/top, we find a kitchen cabinet consisting of sink, gas, refrigerator and a storage compartment.

The hard top, directly connected with the windshield, encloses the space in the frontal area, allowing the pilot to navigate sheltered from the weather, but without sacrificing the pleasant air exchange and coolness.

The new fiberglass structure is designed to interfere minimally, leaving ample space for the windows and light to enter overbearingly, giving a perception of lightness, as if there were “nothing on top but the sky.”

The views will be breath-taking. Moreover, the FIART 43 PANORAMA offers the possibility of fitting out a rear glass covering the galley and living area with a system of panels for the exploitation and storage of solar energy: this is to make owners more aware of a lifestyle on board that is increasingly aimed at reducing consumption and pollution.

The large T-Top offers great protection for both the helm station and the entire aft area and, thanks to its tempered glass, it can be experienced even in summer without the need for awnings or additional covers.

The exterior finishes are of high quality, and the quality of the materials used is definitely top-notch; just look at the stitching on the helm seats to appreciate the attention the shipyard pays to detail and quality.

The steering console is arranged in such a way as to allow easy passage, between the seats and console there is really plenty of room to move around and remain three comfortably seated.

Two large GARMIN screens allow everything to be kept under control, both the technical part of the boat and the onboard domotics; at the helm we also find the controls to activate lights and audio system. The side walkway to the bow is really spacious and thanks to the high handrail, positioned along the entire length you are always safe.

The bow of the FIART 43 SEAWALKER PANORAMA with a large sundeck is designed to be experienced as a solarium or a relaxation place, the cup holders on the sides to the cushioning in fact are an invitation to spend time chatting comfortably lying down perhaps on a beautiful summer evening while at anchor.

FIART 43 PANORAMA: Interior

The sliding door that gives access to the interior is very wide and here, too, the shipyard wanted to make it easy to descend with four wide steps separated from each other.

On the port side, just down, we find a small two-seater sofa that can be used to read a good book overlooking the sea thanks to the large side porthole that gives light to the whole room. On the starboard side is the bathroom, which, very large, includes a separate shower; the cabinet supporting the washbasin provides a good shelf for all cosmetic and beauty products. The choice of pastel colors with teal finishes allows for light and a sense of harmony inside the FIART 43 PANORAMA wherever you turn your eyes. There is never a feeling of enclosure or confined space.

The door in front lets us into the forward cabin, which, thanks to two side windows, a forward window located above the bed, and a large central companionway, is extremely bright and fresh. A chest of drawers, a large wall closet and the large storage chest located under the bed allow for plenty of stowage without having to take up other spaces in the boat.

The stern accommodates a twin-bedded cabin, very bright in its turn, where two tall guests can sleep in total comfort (the length is, in fact, just a little less than 2 meters).

FIART 43 SEAWALKER  PANORAMA SEA TRIAL

We leave the port of Cannes on a day that is not one of the best, the wind is blowing and gusts are up to 25 /28 knots with formed waves of a meter and a half.

Just outside the seawall we head the bow west in the direction of Thèoule-sur mer to avoid having crosswind. The two Volvo Penta 480Hp IPS 650s immediately take over, at 1000 engine revolutions we are already at 13 knots with a consumption around 60 l/h. The hull is stable and in spite of the crossed sea we speed up. The boat gets up on plane at just below 1500 rpm with a speed of 16 knots; accelerating again up to 2300 rpm the boat is in perfect trim and planes at about 26 knots with a consumption of 110 l/h. This is its cruising speed.

I perform a couple of turns and head for the islands of Lerins just to have wind on the bow and formed waves breaking on the hull. I increase speed, and although we are traveling at 34 knots, the boat’s trim is great, the areodynamics of the windshield makes sure that the whole of the console and aft seats are well sheltered and protected from the wind.

I take the throttle to the maximum and read on the instrument 39 knots at 3730 rpm with consumption of 185 L/h. In such conditions the boat maintains great stability and although the wind is strengthening the maneuverability is excellent.

I slow down and head for the port of Cannes, the otehr passengers on board have not even realized the less than optimal conditions for going out to sea, in fact they are still sitting quietly talking on the sofa at the stern.

The FIART 43 SEA WALKER PANORAMA is definitely a multi-faceted boat in that, despite its sporty appearance and decidedly modern design, it retains the characteristics of a boat for experiencing the sea and having the confidence to cruise on a boat that can handle even the harshest conditions without difficulties, with great comfort on board.
