Fiart P52: the queen of design sails like a Stradivarius

She is called Fiart P52 and is the latest masterpiece born from the visionary genius of Stefano Pastrovich for Fiart Mare. This luxurious and decidedly innovative yacht immediately won us over with its beauty, and once at sea, it amazed us with its out-of-the-ordinary seaworthiness.

We had the opportunity to thoroughly test the new Fiart P52 over two days, and what follows is a detailed account of how it went.

Fiart P52 Sea Trial

If you think the test of this vessel begins with the account of its performance, you’re absolutel

y wrong. To fully appreciate a yacht of this caliber, we must start with its visual impact. Trust me, not even the best photos can fully convey what it feels like to behold the new Fiart P52.

Its lines are so different from anything we’ve seen before that calling them innovative would be an understatement. Pastrovich has shaped a yacht that not only astonishes but also instantly makes much of the market look outdated.

This thought crosses my mind as the legendary Biagio, an experienced captain, expertly frees us from a mooring that could only be described as complex. The Fiart P52 maneuvers with remarkable ease, even in the tight, crowded spaces of the bustling Cannes Yachting Festival.

Powered by the latest Volvo Penta IPS800 engines, working seamlessly with bow thrusters, this 16-meter yacht can easily be handled solo by its owner—an important feature for those who prefer not to hire a full-time crew.

Once outside the harbor, I take the helm. From here, visibility is perfect in every direction, and the throttles, joystick, and all onboard instruments are within easy reach—a small masterpiece of ergonomics that makes me feel immediately at ease.

There’s a strong wind today, and the sea is whipped into steep, choppy waves. An uncomfortable condition that would challenge many boats of this size. Yet, we cruise effortlessly in complete comfort, as the unique bow design of the Fiart P52 deflects spray outward and slices through the waves as if they were butter.

I push the throttles forward slightly, and at around 12–13 knots, without the yacht altering its longitudinal trim in the slightest, it transitions smoothly to planing and accelerates effortlessly to 16 knots.

From this point on, the Fiart P52 shows a whole new side of itself and becomes genuinely exciting. Simply pushing the throttles forward transforms the boat into a fast, responsive craft, almost like a maxi-RIB. At over 25 knots, I engage in a series of sharp turns and counter-turns which, aided by the angle of heel, immediately translate into pure pleasure. The yacht holds its trajectory as if it were a superbike tackling the Parabolica curve at Monza.

I straighten out, push the throttles to the limit, and, once again amazed, feel the acceleration push me back as the display shows increasingly surprising speeds for a boat of this size. At 3,000 RPM, we’re hitting over 35 knots!

I take a breath, ease off the throttles, and settle back to around 25 knots. The adrenaline subsides, and I realize that the sea conditions have worsened in the meantime. The wind has intensified, and the waves are now over a meter high. Yet, aboard the Fiart P52, we haven’t noticed a thing.

This hull is simply extraordinary, offering the comfort of a superyacht’s cruising experience combined with the thrills that only a lively, responsive boat can deliver.

The Fiart P52 truly sails like a Stradivarius—it’s something you need to experience to believe.

Fiart P52: Main Deck

It’s hard not to fall in love at first sight with this deck layout. Expansive and completely dedicated to outdoor living, it boasts an almost overwhelming beauty. Viewed from the stern, the main deck unfolds like a crescendo of distinct areas, each defined by its function and arranged with remarkable intelligence.

The aft beach platform is flush with the waterline and conceals an additional platform equipped with a staircase. When fully lowered, it creates a luxurious descent to the sea, complete with steps. Completing this magnificent beach club, which spans over 20 square meters, are two large sunpads—one double and one single. Equipped with adjustable backrests and nestled on either side of this expanse of teak, they offer a truly privileged spot to admire the sea.

A step up brings you to the large outdoor dinette of the Fiart P52. Here, two large sofas are positioned along the sides. The port-side sofa, U-shaped, surrounds a central dining table that comfortably seats eight guests for dinner. On the starboard side, a stylish bar unit not only ensures quick access to refreshments for the entire main deck but also elegantly defines this space, which stands out as one of the most stunning lounges of the moment.

Walking along the central corridor and passing the helm station, a simple press of a button electrically opens the hatch leading to the bow, unveiling the third and uniquely designed living area of the Fiart P52. Here, Pastrovich has created a space inspired by the iconic American bowriders, offering a completely new way to experience the foredeck.

This vast expanse of cushions, all equipped with backrests, provides ample space for a large group to relax and socialize. Whether sipping a cold drink or enjoying a cocktail, there’s even a low central table for added convenience.

The bow area is a strategic space, especially when anchored and enjoying the breeze, or conversely, when docked in port and seeking some privacy. Like all other areas of the yacht, this space can be shaded with elegant and practical canopies mounted on carbon poles.

Lower Deck

Access to the lower deck of the Fiart P52 is via a stunning staircase that leads directly to the central part of the yacht, cleverly designed as a galley. This area is spacious and well-organized, with abundant storage for provisions and a generously sized kitchen. The galley is arranged linearly and equipped with a four-burner induction cooktop, a sink, and expansive work surfaces that are exceptionally oversized. Preparing meals for a large group will be effortless here.

This model features two cabins, a choice that underscores its exclusivity while allowing for the creation of two suites so luxurious that calling them anything less would be an understatement.

At the stern, spanning the full beam of the yacht, is the Fiart P52’s master suite. Its size, design, and finishes rival those of a superyacht owner’s apartment. Upon entering, to the left, is a king-size bed with bedside tables, while to the right, a long low cabinet extends forward, culminating in elegant paneling with a mirror and seating.

Moving forward, near the partition wall, is a series of built-in wardrobes offering ample storage for luggage, including formal attire for glamorous evenings.

At the stern, separated by a door, is the en-suite bathroom. This spacious area includes a sink, toilet, and a magnificent double shower.

The VIP cabin is decidedly wide. Equally equipped with a king-sized bed, it features a remarkable walking space, abundant wardrobes, en-suite bathroom and separate shower.

Fiart P52: conclusions

Fiart P52 is a yacht designed for discerning tastes—those who seek to stand out aboard an exclusive, design-forward masterpiece while refusing to compromise on the comfort and performance delivered by a stellar hull like this one.

Designed for open-air living, this yacht is equally perfect for hosting glamorous, fashionable soirées or spending leisurely summer days at anchor. With a deck layout as exceptional as the one described, it offers the space, luxury, and enjoyment typically reserved for superyachts.
