Bavaria’s team is really tireless. After the new E40 presented at the Boat Show of Düsseldorf, now it’s the turn of the new R40.
R, the shipbuilder specifies, means: Realise your dreams, Rapid, Responsive, Relaxing, Relax and, of course, Revolutionary. In brief, what else?
The new R40 will be available in two configurations, flybridge or coupe. The first one will be presented at the Boat Show of Cannes, while for the second one we have to wait until the end of the year and its official presentation at the Boat Show of Düsseldorf.
They will be motorboats with accurate luxurious finishings and considerable spaces both inside and outside. The inner layout will have two cabins equipped with a bathroom. The hall and the cockpit will be at the same level. The pilot house will be provided with three seats and the pilot’s one will have a lateral opening on the deck, like in big yachts.
The V-shaped hull has been designed by J&J and it will have two Volvo Penta D6-370 engines which will allow a maximum speed of 36 knots (as an alternative, you can have two Volvo D6-400 engines).
R40 represents a real revolution in terms of construction: the German shipbuilder will use infusion.
These are the first renderings. We’ll publish more pictures and plans when they are available.
