Flipper 900 DC is the 2024 motor boat of the year

Flipper 900 DC is the best motor boat of 2024 in the over 30-foot category. Nimbus Group’s sophisticated and sporty day cruiser has won the prestigious ‘Motorboat of the Year 2024‘ award from the authoritative British magazine Motorboat & Yachting, as the winner in the ‘Day boats over 30 feet’ category. But it is not the only Nimbus Group boat to have made it onto the podium: the Aquador 300 HT, in fact, came second in the ‘Sports cruisers up to 45 feet’ category.

The Motor Boat of the Year Award

The Motor Boat of the Year awards are widely considered to be the Oscars of the boating world. The 2024 winners were announced at the international boat show Boot Düsseldorf, held from January 20-28. Both Flipper 900 DC and Aquador 300 HT were already announced in December as finalists for the prestigious competition; in recent days their definitive and more than deserved consecration has arrived.

In total, 41 boats in 9 different categories were nominated. To be considered for the award, every boat had to go through an exhaustive sea trial process.

“We are very proud of the Motor Boat of the Year Award won by the Flipper 900 DC and the fine second place for the Aquador 300 HT – says Michael Bohm, Chief Marketing Officer of Nimbus Group – Just being nominated is an honor so having two boats on the podium is of course extremely satisfying and yet another proof of Nimbus Group’s ability to design and develop attractive boat models in various categories”.

The Flipper 900 DC in detail

The Flipper 900 DC is a real go-kart on the water, designed with modern lines and made from top-quality raw materials. Agile, fast and exciting – as we experienced in our sea trial – the Flipper 900 DC boasts excellent performance, low fuel consumption and a feeling of safety on board that is unrivalled among boats in its class.
