We have recently presented the last Frauscher’s creation, Demon, the flagship of the range which has also led to the construction of a futuristic shipyard in Gmunden. But before, a boat which marked the success of the brand in the European market was Frauscher 1017 GT. Double-step-bottom, EFB transmission, 600 HP and only 3,300 Kg. In brief: strenght, agility and, as traditional to the Austrian shipbuilder, vintage lines but on a very contemporary North-European design. GT was the first boat of the group of Lake Traunsee
This deck configuration is very convincing because it allows to enjoy all spaces a 10-metre-long-boat can offer. It remains a “gentleman racer”, not big but fast and refined, with the possibility to enjoy day trips better.
You can sunbathe on a easily-convertable fore platform or an astern one equipped with two separated sun beds. A teak astern dashboard dives a direct comfortable access to water, while an intelligent system hides bimini under the engine compartment hatch.
No suprise as regards perfomances. The boat is always brilliant and funny. Despite the hard weather conditions we met during our sea trial, with tense wind and short steep waves, we managed to sail at a crusing speed of 32/34 knots. We reached 46 knots by using trims.
As we said, the bottom is faithful to Frauscher’s planning DNA, so soft and extremely precise in the changes of course.
