Frauscher will join the next Cannes Yaching Festival with a mysterious new creation named 858 Fantom Air. No pictures or renderings have been disclosed yet since the boat will be unveiled only during the French boat show.
Openly inspired by the previous 858 Fantom, The 858 Fantom Air even replicates the same team of designers: both concept and project are by Thomas Gerzer while hull and design bear the unmistakable signature of Harry Miesbaurer and KISKA respectively. Consequently, the boat is expected to be as astonishing as its predecessors, preferably with the same traditional Frauscher style where elegant lines and high performances have always been a priority.
According to the shipyard, both diesel and gasoline version should deliver a maximum speed of over 40 knots thanks to V8 350 hp Z-drive engines.
With a length of 8.58 metres, the new Fantom definitively meets the need of the market for a powerful elegant center console-equipped motoryacht with an intermediary size in between the already successful 7-metre 747 Mirage Air and the 10-metre 1017 Lido.
The fore wide spaces of the new Air version enable the motorboat to accommodate up to 10 passengers on board. As usual, Frauscher will offer owners several customization possibilities. An example in this respect is given by the 1414 Demon with T-Top, which we’re recently talked about. Powered by two Mercury Racing 1,100 hp engines, this boat reached 67 knots!
The 858 Fantom Air will therefore remain a spectre until the next Cannes Yachting Festival, where she will be even avialble for sea trials. Furthermore, she will exhibited by the Italian Cantiere Nautico Feltrinelli at its traditional “Open Door” event that takes place in the wonderful frame of Lake Garda every year.
