It is only our opinion but we have no doubts. Among the motorboats we have seen for the first time at the Boot, the most impressive one is Demon 1414 by Frauscher, followed by the Italian Arcadia Sherpa and the last models by the Finnish Axopar Group.
Demon 1414 is a brave and innovative boat: it represents the natural evolution of a constantly increasing brand, it is the new flagship and it marks an important breakthrough for the brand coming from Gmunden. It not a matter of sizes but it is also a very advanced project, both above and below the deck.
The designers, like in all the last models, are Thomas Gerzer and the Austrian Kiska Studio (it is from Salsburg and it collaborates with KTM and Audi, too) and what they have conceived is something aggressive and balanced at the same time, while the hull is by Harry Miesbauer ( a studio of designers coming from Vienna and Como with a tight relationship with Frauscher). We have appreciated the project because Frauscher proposes an innovative motorboat on the same 14-metre length where the market would impose a boat-house, with maybe many levels, three cabins and two bathrooms.
In particular, we have been impressed by some extreme choices, such as that one of avoiding any pulpit or handrail or the choice of an efficient system to hide the anchor and create a totally free deck. There are also a wonderful one-piece windscreen with no pillars and a sporting driver’s desk.
We have particularly appreciated interiors, with an astern double cabin below the cockpit, with a very large and comfortable bed, a long linear kitchen on the right and a huge bathroom on the left. The fore triangle is occupied by the living room, with a table and a V-shaped sofa. Style is beautiful, with dark woods and clear glasses, led lights anywhere and a transparent bulkhead between the bedroom and the bathroom. A solution inspired by contemporary 5-star hotels and a right choice for Demon 1414
Like all the other models, also this boat promises some excellent performances. The hull is deep and V-shaped with a double step, while the maximum speed is 40 knots. You can choose EFB transmission, two Mercruiser 430 Hp engines, two 520 Mercruiser HP racing petrol engines or two Volvo D6 400 HP diesel engines.
What about price? The boat costs 624.000 Euros, Vat excluded. In Italy, it is imported by Feltrinelli Nautica.
