Leggi l’articolo in italiano

We are less than three weeks into the beginning of the 56th International Genoa Boat Show ( 20-25 September 2016) and the iniatiative to relaunch the event appears to bearing fruit. The number of exhibitors is 21 % greater than 2015 and 57 % of operators have increased their investment ( the sailing compartment, for example, has increased by 5% with an average boats size increasing by 19%. Catamarans are increasingly present and they confirm the positive trend of this market. Boats equipped with inboard motors have increased by 12 %, with an average size 16 % greater than last year. Completely sold out the spaces reserved for outboards. Accessories, too, follow this positive trend). The most interesting factor concerns foreign shipbuilders which are investing on the Italian market again.

So, very positive signals, flanked by the full support of Italian istitutions. For this edition of the boat show, Ice Agenzia (an agency of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development for the promotion of international trade) has confirmed its support to Italian boating through a rich plan which aims to the internationalisation of the field.

In particular, the agency will organise a rich series of meetings involving the techical and sales office managers of the shipbuilders, buyers, international distributors and brokers.

For the first time, a delegation of 15 independent brokers of Florida Yacht Broker Association, a historic American association with over 1200 active partners, will be in Italy.

On September 21th and 22nd, foreign operators will be available to meet the Italian exhibitors at Lounge B-to-B in pavilion B.

Under the Extraordinary “Made in Italy” Promotion Plan launched by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, ICE-Agenzia and UCINA ( an Italian trade association, part of Confindustria) organise the visit of many boating  operators and journalists from 32 different countries, such as Austria, Belgium, Brasil, China, Croatia, Finland, Germany, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Malta, EAU, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Holland, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, UK and USA.
