127,190 visitors in six days, over 800 exhibitors for a total of one thousand boats. In the light of the excellent figures of the 2016 edition, the Genoa International Boat Show comes back and, about one month before its opening, announces all the novelties and exhibitors of the 2017 event.
At the moment, the countries represented at the boat show are 26 and come from four continents: in addition to Europe, in fact, companies from America (Canada and USA), Asia (South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore) and Oceania (Australia and New Zealand), too, will have their own exhibiting areas.
Like every year, the International Boat Show will try to combine exhibiting stands with specific ground spaces overlooking the marinas where the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of products.
The docks will host boats of all kinds, including motor yachts, sailboats, ribs and outboards while quays will offer an exclusive space for marine accessories and services exhibitors.
Meanwhile, organizers are currently developing some interesting novelties for the 2017 edition, the most important of which would envisage the installation of a “square” on the sea, just at the entrance of the Boat Show. The popular Italian architect Renzo Piano, in fact, would like to offer both Genoa citizens and visitors new reasons to come together. Moreover, the collaboration with Paolo Brescia’s OBR Studio aims to express the close connection between natural elements as a subject particularly related to the context.
All details, previews and appointments of the 57th Genoa International Boat Show will be presented at the official press conference, scheduled to take place on September 5th at 12:00 at the Presence Chamber of Palazzo Tursi in Genoa.
The conference will see the participation of Carla Demaria, President of UCINA Confindustria Nautica, Marco Bucci, Major of Genoa, and Giovanni Toti, Governor of the Region of Liguria. On that occasion, official partners, too, will be announced.
The same representatives, together with Graziano Delrio, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport and the General Command of the Port Authority, will join the International Boat Show opening ceremony on September 21st.
The 38th edition of ” La Nautica in Cifre“, a boating statistic yearbook that analyzes the economic scenario of Italian boat industry and yachting, will be officially presented at 15:00.
The editorial staff of The International Yachting Media, known in Italy as “Tuttobarche“, will join the event with a stand and its Daydreamer. Our lab-boat, in fact, will be docked at the Marina Porto Antico for all the duration of the event. On board, our visitors will have the possibility to see all the accessories and equipment we’ve tested over the last few moths.
After all, it could not be otherwise, considering the premises of the six-day Genoa event.
