GRAN TURISMO 46: SPORT AND LUXURY BY BÉNÉTEAU

Bénéteau has chosen the Boat Show of Paris to present Gran Turismo 46, the second model of the new range after GT40.

GT46 is not only bigger than its predecessor. It represents a step forwards in terms of interior decorations and customization. The price at the Nautic Show was 553,000 Euros, VAT and accessories included.

It is an Open boat, with extendable hard top and lateral glass walls. Behind the driver’s desk, there is an extendable glass door. This way, the boats appears as a unique open space. Moreover, thanks to a remote control, the astern sofa can be convert into a big lounger to enjoy a moment of relax.

When the glass door is closed, the dinette becomes a separated space, with a table in the middle and an optional kitchen behind the co-pilot’s seat. As usual, one of the strong points of Bénéteau’s GT models is the captain’s desk, the bridge and its seat. On this boat, it is even “imperial”: it is like that one of a sporting 60-foot boat, in line with the philosophy of the boat which wants to be both a Gran Turismo and premium boat.

Ouside, there is a great surface to enjoy good weather: a fore space for sunbathing and an astern platform which can be lowered under the water level for greater stability when you are at anchor.

Inside, you can have two or three cabins, always with two bathrooms. In the first case, there will be a fore cabin and an astern cabin. Both of them will have a private bathroom; the astern cabin will have a double bed, while the fore one will have twin beds and great space to stow.

The dinette will have a sofa and a table, while in the configuration with three cabins you will have a third cabin with bunk beds.

As regards decorations, solid wood is the prevalent material and the layered floor is in dark oak wood.

Finally, you can choose among three engines: two Volvo D6 370 or 400 diesel engines or a Volvo IPS 600 diesel engine. In any case, GT46 has Air Step 2. the new gliding hull patented for the first time on Montecarlo 37 in 2006 and presented at the boat show of Paris.
