Double debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2023 for Grand Soleil Yachts: luxury and performance “squared”

2023 is a year to remember for Grand Soleil Yachts which, after celebrating the 50th anniversary of Cantiere del Pardo, is now getting ready to join the Cannes Yachting Festival with two world premieres: Grand Soleil 65 and Grand Soleil 72, both in Long Cruise version.

After her launch just a few weeks ago, Grand Soleil 72 LC is ready to be admired and tested by visitors from all over the world. More specifically, the new creation is designed for owners who appreciate a made-to-measure approach and who love to live their adventures in comfort, safety and autonomy, while being highly considerate of the marine environment. Grand Soleil 65 LC, on the other hand, is the latest addition to the Grand Soleil fleet and embodies all the features that have brought success to the 72-foot model unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival last year, distinguished by a design worthy of significantly larger vessels, safety, optimized spaces and unparalleled comfort.

Grand Soleil 72 Long Cruise

After the debut of her Performance twin last year, Grand Soleil 72 Long Cruise is ready to make her debut at Cannes. The distinguishing feature of the new Grand Soleil 72 Long Cruise is its deckhouse, which is characterised by a large 270° window that has been shortened, raised and widened compared to the Performance version. In the cockpit, the companionway and the ladder have been moved to the side to obtain a “C” shaped seat and a straight seat, maintaining the two large sundecks at the stern, which also feature in the Performance version.

In the Long Cruise version, the entire dinette is raised, allowing you to enjoy the view of the external landscape both in a sitting and standing position.

The interior layout by Nauta Design complements the deck’s geometries with the aim of making the most of space, achieving a design that is not only beautiful and elegant, but also extremely comfortable and functional, where nothing is left to chance.

GS 65 Long Cruise

Announced at Boot Düsseldorf 2023, the Grand Soleil 65 Long Cruise represents the perfect synthesis of performance, style and innovation.

The second model in the over 60-foot range of Grand Soleil Yachts has already conquered the market for both its significant green effort and design.

The naval architecture by Matteo Polli aims at hitting the same targets as its predecessor Grand Soleil 72, but presented in 65 feet of pure comfort and performance. In both versions, the hull design is the same, just as the building technologies used: polyester-based vinylester and composites with carbon reinforcements where needed to make the structure more rigid.

The new model, curated by project manager Franco Corazza in collaboration with Matteo Polli, Marco Lostuzzi and Nauta Design represents the perfect synthesis of performance, style and innovation.

This 65-footer is the result of a totally Made-in-Italy design process that brings together a team of professionals representing Italian excellence in the yachting sector – says Franco Corazza, Project Manager at Grand Soleil Yachts – That means designer and ORC champion Matteo Polli for the naval architecture, Marco Lostuzzi for the structural design and Nauta Design for the general layout as well as the deck and interior design.”

With just a few differences in terms of interior layout and exterior details, the Performance and Long Cruise versions differ in their objective, which in the GS 65 LC is distinctly cruising, while maintaining a fast hull optimized for high performance. The interior, as in the GS 72 LC, both in terms of palettes, details, and the quality of the materials, has been developed to superyachts standards, flaunting all that is Made in Italy pride and craftsmanship.
