The European debute of this carbon 66-foot-boat will be at the Boat Show of Cannes next September. For the moment, we can start to see some pictures of its launch in China.
HH6601, R-SIX, is the first sample of the new series of semi-custom catamarans built by HH Catamarans. It was launched at Xiamen, in China, where it was built. HH Catamaran produces high-tech carbon catamarans for high-performance cruises. Their boats are luxurious, usually created for demanding shipowners and designed in California in collaboration with Morelli and Melvin Studio (famous among the American Cup followers), Hakes Marine and Hudson Yacht & Marine
HH66 is the result of a three-year-study on a planning, engineering and industialization level. The three aims of the project are: lightness, speed and extreme luxury.
After several days of frog, rain and cloudy sky, the launch of April 19th was welcomed by sun. blue sky and 10/15-knot-wind. “It was a beautiful day – has declared Willima Jelbert, Project Manager of HH Catamaran – First of all, nothing got broken and this is not so usual in a technical launch; then, the boat reacts in an excellent way. I’m really excited about all these positive results”.
The group will continue its tests in the next weeks…. finally, the boat will sent first to Valencia and later to the Boat Show of Cannes.
