Ice 64 Explorer: futuristic and adventurous

Ice Yachts is developing a new model that promises to stand out, as evident from the first renderings. The Ice 64 Explorer is a high-quality fast cruiser, boasting an extraordinary use of space and lines that reflect the shipyard’s distinctive style and design approach. With its futuristic, innovative, and exclusive design, the Ice 64 Explorer is a sailing yacht dedicated to adventure and extended life onboard. Once again designed by Felci Yacht Design, this new Ice Yachts model is set to launch next spring and is sure to become a dream yacht for many owners.

Compared to its predecessors, the Ice 60 and Ice 62 Targa, the new Ice 64 Explorer offers even easier handling and is perfectly suited for owners seeking boundless navigation. Its exceptional autonomy, safety, and onboard comfort make it ideal for extended journeys. The signature hard top, which covers the entire cockpit, along with the efficient carbon dodger, contributes to creating additional exterior spaces that are always usable and protected from the sun and adverse weather.

The Ice 64 Explorer also features a revolutionary aft beach platform, designed to comfortably accommodate a tender and provide a valid alternative to internal garages. Thanks to the rotating carbon hardtop arch at the stern, launching and retrieving the tender is straightforward, simplifying boarding and disembarking operations. This added feature enhances the yacht’s practicality and versatility, catering to a wide range of crew needs.

The equipment of the Ice 64 Explorer

The hardtop of the Ice 64 Explorer is equipped with solar panels to maximize energy efficiency, embracing a sustainable approach to sailing. Integrated water collection channels enhance both functionality and design, ensuring effective rainwater drainage and improving water resource management onboard.

The Ice 64 Explorer is outfitted by the shipyard’s technicians with an advanced 48V electrical system (including winches), delivering significant advantages in energy efficiency, autonomy, and superior performance compared to traditional systems. The use of a 48V setup greatly enhances energy efficiency, ensuring extended autonomy and improved performance. Moreover, this system stands out for its eco-sustainability, reducing emissions and minimizing environmental impact, aligning with increasingly stringent ecological standards.

The Ice 64 Explorer also features dual rudders for optimal navigation control, ensuring a safe and comfortable sailing experience. Its shallow draft allows for smooth navigation in shallow waters, broadening exploration opportunities and enhancing versatility.

Comfortable and cozy interior

The interiors of the Ice 64 Explorer, also designed by Felci Yacht Design, are available in a three-cabin layout and are distinguished by a spacious, welcoming dinette—a hallmark of this yacht. The generous seating, designed for maximum comfort, can be converted into an additional bed, offering flexibility and optimal use of space. A height-adjustable table further enhances the versatility of the dinette, creating the perfect setting for convivial meals or moments of relaxation.

The open-plan galley is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, a large worktop, and ample storage space. Natural light floods the area, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, while the modern and functional design integrates seamlessly with the rest of the interior.

A standout feature is the aft cabin, conceived as a versatile space that goes beyond its traditional role. In addition to serving as a cabin, it can easily be transformed into a workspace, adapting to the varying needs of its occupants. This multifunctional area is directly connected to the navigation and charting station, providing strategic utility. Fully equipped with a spacious workbench, sink, washing machine, and retractable WC, it offers the practicality required for daily activities aboard a yacht designed for extended periods at sea—hence earning the title “Explorer.”
