Ice Yachts has announced that construction has begun on the first ICE 80 Blue Water Sport yacht. In addition to becoming the new flagship of the shipyard, the vessel marks Ice Yachts’ entry into the large luxury sailing yacht segment. The ICE 80 combines exceptional performance, unmatched comfort, and an exclusive design, taking the Italian brand to a new frontier in the yachting world.

The outstanding collaboration with Felci Yacht Design

The ICE 80 Blue Water Sport stems from the established partnership between Ice Yachts and the Felci Yacht Design studio, with which the Salvirola-based shipyard has created a series of high-performance designs over the past ten years, including the iconic ICE 70, renowned for its modern lines and advanced technological solutions. Thanks to this decade-long collaboration, Ice Yachts has developed a unique approach to yacht construction, blending creative vision with deep technical know-how.

Felci Yacht Design handled every aspect of the design, from naval architecture to structures, from layout to interior styling, and even the design of the coachroof and deck, while preserving the distinctive style of yachts born from the partnership with Ice Yachts. The technical office of Ice Yachts engineered the systems and supervised the production process to ensure the highest level of quality and safety.

ICE 80 Blue Water Sport: technological innovation and craftsmanship quality

The construction of the ICE 80 Blue Water Sport will take place at the Salvirola shipyard, the historic headquarters of Ice Yachts, where every boat is built using the most advanced technology and excellence in craftsmanship. Like all the shipyard’s models, the ICE 80 will be entirely built in Italy, reaffirming Ice Yachts’ commitment to quality and Italian craftsmanship.

The hull, deck, and structures will be entirely made of carbon using the “one-shot” vacuum infusion technology, a process that ensures lightness and maximum strength for high performance. This production method allows the ICE 80 to stand out in the luxury sailing yacht market for its build quality, reliability, and top-level assembly.

The ICE 80 Blue Water Sport features a deck layout with dual cockpits, which separates the maneuvering area from the guest zone, offering both safety and comfort on board. The deck has wide side decks and a sleek, lowered coachroof, while the stern is equipped with a spacious bathing platform and a large garage for a 3.5-meter tender. The interiors are designed to ensure maximum comfort, with a large salon, a very spacious owner’s cabin, two VIP guest cabins, as well as a separate crew area featuring two separate double cabins, a full galley, chart table, and control area with independent access.
