NEW JEANNEAU NC 33: SURPRISING VOLUMES ON BOARD

A new model has joined the Jeanneau NC range this year. Officially presented to the world at the last Cannes Yachting Festival, the NC 33 drew the audience’s attention with her ergonomic and fluid lines that represent a real innovation for a boat where, despite of an overall length of 10.50 metres, the hull doesn’t reach 9 metres.

After all, these are the distinctive elements of the entire Jeanneau NC line whose models range from 10 tp 14 metres: a seaworthy hull – whose lines were designed by Michaël Peters, while interior design is by Garroni Studio – cleverly-arranged spaces and volumes and great focus on outdoor areas. Everything on board is combined through innovative technological and living solutions which make life on board easier and more comfortable.

In many cases we’re talking about little insights, such as the possibility to move the entrance from the cockpit to the living area by sliding the door from right to left and facilitating the access to the galley or the lounge. Or the door positioned on the starboard side of the helm station that guarantees instant access to side-decks when manoeuvring. This is a rather rare, if not unprecedented, solution on boats of this type.

Designed for short- and medium-range cruises in the Mediterranean, the boat replicates the typical external lines of the range. So, special attention has been paid to outdoor areas and resulted into a considerably large cockpit equipped with a sofa that, located next to the transom, can be easily converted into a spacious sun pad.

Of special note are the aft bathing platform – rather wide if compared with the overall size of the boat – and the total absence of steps and interruptions between the cockpit and the dinette that facilitates the perception of a unique single environment when the door is completely open.

The above-mentioned sliding door located on the starboard side of the helm station is complemented by a small side access gate that significantly improves access on board and mooring manoeuvres.

Priority has been given to maximizing natural light on the interior. So, side windows and the large glass opening sunroof fill the living space with bright, natural light.

Interiors include a small lounge furnished with a sofa and a dinner table, counter-posed to a wet bar. On the starboard side, the helm station is equipped with a double seat and a sofa on the left that can become a further settee for the dinette. Three steps lead to the sleeping quarters, where two large double cabins and a spacious bathroom with separate shower room can accommodate 4 guests in a comfortable cozy environment.
