2017 has brought a rain of novelties for Jeanneau, including the birth of the new Sun Odyssey range and the enlargement of the Cap Camarat family. The work of the French boatyard has been particularly appreciated by the audience and recognized by critics that have named many Jeanneau boats as nominees for different upcoming French and European boat shows.
More specifically, the Sun Odyssey 440 – the pioneer of the Sun Odyssey line- will be among the finalists of the European Yacht of The Year 2018. The nomination confirms the success and appreciation gained by this beautiful sailboat characterized by unique sporty design and high comfort standards.
Among powerboat models, the Cap Camarat 7.5 Bow Rider and the NC33 will take part to the finals for the European Powerboat of the year 2018. The fact that two boats of such different inspiration have been selected certifies the extraordinary versatility of Jeanneau and its capacity to convince with both a 7-metre sporty powerboat and a 10-metre inboard model. Different functionalities, equal quality.
The winner of the above-mentioned categories will be announced at the Düsseldorf Boat Show, scheduled to take place from 20th to 28th January 2018.
But that’s not all. The Merry Fisher 795 Marlin and the Leader 33 have been honoured with nominations for the title of Best of Boats, respectively in the categories “Best for Fishing” and “Best for Family.”
Official results of competitions will be announced during the Boat & Fun Berlin Show, from 23rd to 26th November.
Even more prestigious is the preselection of three models for the Motor Boat 2017, the contest that awards the best motorboat of the year. The Leader 33 has received her second nomination, now accompanied by the Merry Fisher 895 and the Cap Camarat 6.5 Bow Rider.
The final jury’s decision will be communicated during the Paris Boat Show, scheduled to take place from 2nd to 10th December.
Maybe, this is the prize Jeanneau desires the most: for a French shipyard, in fact, being awarded in its own capital city is super!
All these nominations reward an innovative, never banal, project put forward by Jeanneau. The French shipyard is indeed at the forefront of marine biodiversity protection, as recognized by ISO 9001 certification. It is no coincidence that the main shipyard’s ambition is to improve performance while reducing environmental impact.
Results are there for all to see and might lead to further achievements in the next few months. If eight nominations are a precious hint of quality, official awards could be a conclusive evidence. It is now up to judges. For the moment, the audience has already pronounced its positive sentence.
