Kufner 54 Exclusive: the new model is extraordinarily spacious

Kufner 54 Exclusive expands: the new model is designed to offer more space and comfort than its predecessors, without compromising remarkable range performance.

A new jewel is ready to ply the seas. Straight from the Croatian D&D shipyard comes the new Kufner 54 Exclusive, the latest from Kufner Yachts.

More space, greater comfort, increased customization possibilies, and if desired, a new open-air galley: this new model has a lot to offer to its owners.

Measuring 16.6 meters in length and 4.97 meters in maximum beam, despite her nearly 20 tons of weight, Kufner 54 Exclusive effortlessly reaches 10 knots, gliding smoothly on the water.

But let’s take a closer look at her…

Exterior

Elegance, simplicity and quality: this yacht has the ability to stand out immediately with the immense space offered by the deck plan.

A generous transom lowers, going right up to the water, providing convenient access to the water for passengers and also facilitating getting on and off the boat. From this transom, moreover, there is practical cooking with the new “summer kitchen,” a feature of this Kufner 54 Exclusive model, an option that the owner can choose during configuration.

The open-air galley consists of a large worktop, sink and grill, where convenient and scenic cooking can be enjoyed, while also preventing the smell of food from reaching the sleeping area. When not in use, the summer galley folds down like a drop-down box and transforms into a comfortable and spacious aft sundeck.

Teak reigns supreme on the Kufner 54 Exlusive, which in addition to a practical function, makes this boat nothing short of beautiful. Seven sundecks offer passengers the opportunity to stretch out and relax on the bow, whether at anchor or underway.

The entire cockpit area is covered by a bimini top that provides a shaded area and protection from water and splashes, thus enabling passengers to enjoy the outdoor spaces with absolute peace of mind.

The cockpit itself consists of a large extendable center table, which accommodates upon request, a built-in mini fridge, perfect for keeping drinks cool without having to go down to the galley. Two L-shaped benches complete the dinette, which provides comfortable seating for as many as 10 people. The deckhouse is flat, and the sail rigging is hidden under the deckhouse dunnage, so that moving around on board is also safe, even when underway.

The sail area is truly remarkable: 69.2 square meters for the genoa and 71.6 square meters for the mainsail. With a weight of 20 tons, a ballast of 5 tons, a draft of 2.5 meters, and a Yanmar 110 Kw inboard shaft drive engine, this Kufner 54 Exclusive speeds through the water with agility and fluidity achieving incredible performance.

Interior

Going below deck, the most impressive thing is space. Such a spacious living room and galley are hard to find in boats of equal size, and the arrangement of the furniture has been carefully thought out in an intelligent and practical way. Every detail has been thought out and designed to be functional and elegant, nothing is left to chance.

To starboard is a linear galley, customizable in both cabinetry and appliances, which can also include an additional freezer, microwave or wine cellar. The central island table also serves as a counter, convenient support for both eating and serving food, and is also an additional safety measure in case of difficult navigation.

To the left is a large dinette with U-shaped settee that can seat up to 10 people, a chart table, and the control panel with electrical panel, which is convenient and easy to access.

The cabins are customizable, both in number and layout: in the 5-cabin version, two are positioned aft, with an antechamber and en-suite bathroom, two are towards the bow, beyond the salon and have bunk beds with separate head and facilities, while the master cabin that dominates the bow, has a private head and the possibility of the ladies’ beauty table. A crew cabin with private bathroom can also be arranged, which is separately accessible from the side-decks.

There are many configurations offered: 5-, 4- or 3-cabin, the arrangement of space is free as Andrea Barbagelata, official dealer of Kufner Yachts, also explains:

“The most important feature is the customization available on the Kufner; the boats are all custom made to order and are fully customizable by the customer. The customer not only chooses the color of the interior, the furniture, the fabrics, the finishes and the curtains, but the customer is free to come with his architect and make his own interior layout, the boat is made as he wants…it is entirely bespoke. Certain parts cannot be modified, such as the structural part that concerns permissions with the ship registry; however, the interiors are totally customizable. Some changes can be made already without additional extras, but included in the price, for example: we offer different solutions for the interior Saloon but changes to the main saloon furniture do not require an extra charge. On the other hand, if you ask for modification of the shape of some cabins, we make a custom quote. It is a comfortable, easy, sturdy and totally customizable boat.”

Conclusion

The new Kufner 54 Exclusive is definitely an impressive yacht: first of all, for the space and comfort it gives to its passengers, and then, for the lightness and fluidity it has on the water: it glides smoothly returning beautiful feedback when sailing.

Quality, care and naval engineering coming together in a boat suitable for everyone. Comfortable, safe, and enjoyable, the Kufner 54 Exclusive exceeds expectations and enters the market with peculiarities that are not for everyone: the affordable and accessible price, extreme livability inside and out, and last but not least, the wide customization possibilities which allow owners to handcraft their boat and make it truly unique, like a tailor-made suit.

“I wanted to build beautiful, quality boats at a much lower price. My experience as a naval engineer was key to the conception and design, I put it together with my decades of charter experience to create something unique, something different. I started the business on my own, with few resources and a lot of passion, hard work was the basis for making something beautiful.” says Damir Kufner, owner of Kufner Yachts. “The boats are really fast. Over time we have developed many interior possibilities, always increasing their quality, and now I am proud that we make custom boats for private individuals, fulfilling their every wish.”
