Made in Italy: Absolute Yachts in the “2022 Export Champion” ranking

Made in Italy yachting by Absolute Yachts is making giant strides around the world, as demonstrated by a study promoted by Il Sole 24 Ore and the German multinational Statista.

The well-known Podenzano-based shipyard takes an excellent 39th place out of 200 companies selected for the 2022 Export Champion survey.

Particularly noteworthy is the fact that Absolute Yachts is the only yacht builder to appear in the ranking. In other words, this is indeed a first place for Absolute Yachts, at least as far as companies operating in the yachting sector are concerned.

The aim of the study, promoted by the German research institute and the well-known financial-economic newspaper, was to encourage the development of exports and spread the name of the most virtuous Italian companies “that have distinguished themselves for their international activity in various industrial sectors between 2020 and 2021”.

A key selection criterion was that their 2020 turnover had to range between €1.5 and 500 million and feature high export volumes related to physical goods. Furthermore, the report was drawn up by selecting companies with headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Italy, founded by 2018, and not falling under any of the exclusion conditions provided for by art. 80 of Italian Legislative Decree. 50/2021.

This project about exports is a first for Statista: Italy is an excellent pilot country for this project, given its strong propensity for exports and the high reputation of Made in Italy products in the world”, said Thomas Clark, Senior Associate Partner at Statista.

Made in Italy by Absolute Yacht

The yachting sector drives the industry and Absolute Yachts is always a total reference point in this respect, actively participating in the overall well-being of the country of Italy with the production of its marvellous ranges of boats: Navetta, Flybridge and Coupé.

Exports are also a key economic factor, opening a thousand doors, and it is no coincidence that the relentless promotion of Italian products around the world is entrusted, also from a governmental point of view, to the ICE (Italian Trade Agency) which operates within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, contributing to the consolidation of the Italian presence on international markets. And we know how attentive ICE is to the yachting sector too.

The Piacenza-based shipyard, for its part, exports luxury yachts all over the world, offering customers true Made in Italy quality, made up of craftsmanship, quality fabrics, furnishings and materials. With this recognition, which includes the shipyard among the “2022 Export Champions“, Absolute Yachts confirms the company’s strong history of excellence among the big names in Made in Italy yachting. And, as the Podenzano-based shipyard’s marketing department explains, this ranking is further “confirmation of a winning strategy and an incentive to stay the course”.
