From May 16 to 22, Via Monte Napoleone (in Milan) transforms itself in a particular exclusive marina: for the entire period, in fact, many among the most important shipbuilders in the world will enjoy the display opportunity offered by some designer stores which, by opening their doors to visitors, will allow them to admire scale models, photos, video walls and avant-garde projects.
Milan hosts the second edition of MonteNapoleone Yacht Club, organised with the sponsorship of the municipality of Milan, an occasion which sanctions the close bond between luxury and boating. Some famous brands will host some of the most prestigious shipbuilders and yacht clubs in the world in their shops. The event is promoted by Associazione MonteNapoleone, which represents 140 luxury brands. It is also enriched by Unique, a special event where some jewelry stores will show some unique jewels and watches.
The week has a full list of events, such as the presentation of Sailing Series®, partner of the event, the format of successful regattas presenting in Croce Rossa square a M32 catamaran, totally made of carbon fibre.
On May 17, at alle 10.30 am, a workshop about naval tourism and Italian legislation which will be attended by the President of UCINA Confindustria Nautica, Carla Demaria, the President of Nautica Italiana, Lamberto Tacoli, the honorary president of Altagamma and owner of Nautor’s Swan, Leonardo Ferragamo, the lawyer and shipowner Salvatore Trifirò and the lawyer Giandomenico Boglione.
For all the lasting of the event, the wonderful cloister of Palazzo Borromeo d’Adda at 41, Via Manzoni will host the exhibition called Yachts&GGentlemen which shows the origins of big boats, the dreams of their shipowners and the ideas of the designers who have contributed to let them come true. Each story is the result of a deep passion for the sea which can become the inspiration to recover the true strong values which distinguish the relationship between the man and the natural element. From Aristotele Onassis to Gianni Agnelli, passing through S.A. Karīm Aga Khan and Larry Ellison, the challenge and attention to the sea gave birth to unique boats, presented to the audience through wonderful images.
Photos, projects, memories recall the last decades of boating, by highlighting the business, handmade and talent skills which have given birth to an excellent Italian and international industry.

The event belongs to the main aims of Associazione MonteNapoleone,which organises, plans and produces cultural, charity and commercial events; it is supported by Fraser Yachts, broker number one in yachting field and Valverde, water partner, and it has Borsa Italiana among its institutional partners.
