It was one of the gems of the Dusselforf Boat Show and one of the most innovative multihulls built in 2015. It’s Neel 65, a trimaran built by the French shipbuilder sharing the same name in La Rochelle, only few months after the 45-foot-model.
It maintains all the main features of the previous project: light displacement (thanks to a large use of carbon), good sail perfomances and easy driving thanks to its technological equipments and extraordinary style.
The most celebrated element of Neel 65 is space. Not only conceived as size but also as interpretation.
Franck Darnet, the interior designer of the project, decided to create something unique. And he chose to put two double cabins on the same level than the hall. The result is evident: a place where to sleep is only the marginal aspect of a real housing experience. A 2.5-metre-wide glass wall links interiors with exteriors and it fulls the whole space with light.
The rest of the living zone is a play of communication between a room and the other, where every corner has a precise destination: a central kitchen, provided with a coffee bar corner, two tables, one of which is convertible into a cocktail corner, two opposing L-shaped sofas and a chart work table with a 220-degree-view on the sea.
The other cabins (up to 8, even the best shipowner’s version has only 3 cabins) are located in the hulls and they are all provided with a private bathroom.
You can enter into the inner pilot house through a very wide glass sliding door.
All external areas offer a lot of space for relax. On the astern part of the central hull, there is a 2.50 x 2.00-metre- platform equipped with a stepladder.
The flybridge (33 sq.m) is equipped with a table for 8 people and a sofa which can convert into a sunbathing platform.
Mast, boom, rudder wheel and many structural supports are made of carbon.
The Italian distributor of Neel is Yacht Synergy in Cala Galera.
