After the launch of 200 and 300 Hp models two years ago, Evinrude has just presented new E-TEC G2 150, 150 HO, 175 and 200 HP outboards to the European press in Baveno, on Lake Maggiore (Italy). Despite the rain and a cloudy sky, the event has been exciting and rich of many technical news to discover.

Compared to their “older” brothers ( they share the same aggressive design, in addition to the possibility to choose among boundless color packages) new 150/175 and 200 Hp outboards are always V6 two-stroke direct injection engines but with a 66-degree-cylinder bank inclination.
Moreover, new G2 outboards offer the possibility to have an additional “virtual dashboard”. Called E-Link, it allows to display ( on the standard screen called ICON Touch) and checks some important engine functions and data, such as engine speed, fuel consum
E-Link is also provided with a Concierge Page which includes the links to the webpage “Find a dealer” and the option ” Send engine data” to send information to an assistance team by e-mail.
