New VanDutch 56 unveiled: “The freedom of luxury”

The design of the new VanDutch 56 has been unveiled: a yacht with elegant geometries that describe in the blink of an eye the unique ability of this boat to welcome moments of luxurious lifestyle. Particularly noteworthy is the design that manages to be both classic and modern, an avant-garde that expresses timeless lines, a unique result of its kind.

And don’t let the name fool you, because although it inherits all the Dutch nautical know-how, this yacht is a pure Made in Italy thoroughbred that offers the highest quality construction by Cantiere del Pardo.

VanDutch has always been synonymous with exclusive beauty and its yachts, purchased by the many celebrities who choose them, populate the jet sets of ultra-glamorous destinations such as Saint Tropez and Miami but, since it was acquired by Cantiere del Pardo, the brand has literally taken off, projected towards a higher dimension.

VanDutch 56 – IPS Propulsion

Shipyard building quality and new locations are offered for a unique buying experience and improved service. The new VD56 is now offered with the Volvo IPS propulsion that many have been waiting for.

The new VanDutch 56 is, in fact, the first model offered by the brand to be equipped with an engine capable of reducing emissions into the environment, which also gives the boat great manoeuvrability.

Two options available

In her standard version, the VD56 is powered by two IPS 800 engines, but those looking to upgrade can opt for two IPS 950s.

In short, Cantiere del Pardo, which acquired the Dutch brand founded in 2008, surprises everyone by offering an open yacht with many new features.

And it does so by offering a boat of the highest level, able to fascinate the owner with its extremely luxurious features.

The VanDutch 56 is somewhere in between the four models in the range. Larger than the 48-footer but smaller than the 75. And it’s a yacht that offers unusual spaces for this size.

Thanks to the design of the deck layout, the yacht is a true open-space in the exterior, but below deck there is also the privacy option, at least for those looking for it.

By the way, customization also extends to the on-board cushions, which are available in a wide choice of fabrics and colours. Not to mention the special hull paintwork, for which the owner can draw on an almost infinite palette of colours.

The Forlì-based yard explains that “every owner will have a unique VanDutch”.

The VanDutch 56 also embodies the typical beauty of a loft, with architecture that blends perfectly with a modern, sophisticated and luxurious marine concept.

The spaces are obstacle-free but full of comfort, the VD56 is absolute geometry, standing out on the surface of the water with distinct class, but making a decisive statement through its proportions.

Pleasing VIPs is not easy. But the beauty of the VD56 is that it can cater for a wide range of needs. There’s room on board for cruises and nights at anchor. There is room for late-night parties, business and social gatherings. But at the same time the VD56 is a romantic 56-foot ‘mega’ yacht that doesn’t look that big.

Those who prefer the VanDutch 56 as a party boat will discover the three cockpit fridges and the handy glass holders in the middle of the table. And to enjoy the party, there’s a great stereo system, LED ambient lighting and (of course) a seascape that the VanDutch 56 offers itself to with its centrality as a true protagonist.

VanDutch 56 – Exterior

On deck, the backrests of the large aft sundeck are wide and adjustable for relaxing even on shorter cruises. The comfortable L-shaped sofas in the large cockpit, complete with a central table, offer a comfortable space for breakfast, lunch, cocktails and dinner on board,” this is how Cantiere del Pardo explain it, almost simply, highlighting the qualities of the VanDutch 56 that make it look like an ultra-exclusive lounge bar.

Another interesting fact is that the aft platform can be lowered to facilitate access to the sea. It’s actually an additional terrace, providing space and bringing guests sensationally close to the water.

The images speak for themselves: the teak lines run as clean as endless tracks, offering plenty of room on board for midsummer dances.

The windscreen is polarized and marks the centre of the boat by arching it: it’s a wonderful design element. The bow deck, so clean and unstructured, is truly all the beauty that yachting can offer today.

Interior

Looking at the renderings of the VanDutch 56, which we have come into possession of, the “Sleep” version is designed to give life to the master cabin, equipped with a king-size bed, and possibly an optional second cabin with a single bed.

The interior layout continues with a linear galley and L-shaped sofa. The furnishings have a modern, typically Northern European allure through restrained colours and neat geometries.

The alternative ‘Lounge‘ layout of the VD56 does not include a cabin. This serves to transform the below deck of this VIP boat into a large open space, equipped with a collier sofa with a central table in the bow. In this version, the galley is designed on the port side, which is well equipped and looks out over the sofa opposite to starboard.

On the VanDutch 56, the helm station features Garmin Marine electronics with EmpireBus technology. All of the boat’s domotics, including the audio system and air conditioning, are designed to be within easy reach and can be operated from a single digital display.

The VD56 can accommodate up to 12 people on board, has an overall length of 16.9 meters, a beam of 4.52 meters and a draft of 1.25 meters. But as we know, numbers are never enough to describe the emotions that a boat of this level can offer to the lucky owners who will own it.
