The first Prince 33 Sport Cabin cuts through the waters of Côte d’Azur. In Mandelieu La Napoule, Nuova Jolly Marine has, in fact, launched hull number one of the new model, whose prototype had been presented in worldwide preview at the last Paris Boat Show. The new creation joins the already successful Cabin line of the Milan-based company.
The inflatable boat measures 10.20 x 3.50 metres (LxW) and will be displayed at Cannes Yachting Festival and Genoa International Boat Show next September.
The main challenge of this rib was to arrange a large cabin without compromising the boat’s exterior design.
Nuova Jolly seems to have been really successful in meeting the goal since the first impression we’ve had while entering the cabin – it already happened to us in Paris – is the same than the “Undetectable extension charm” used by Harry Potter to extend inner volume with no external perception. The cabin indeed contains a comfortable double bed, a hallway and a WC-equipped toilet, separated by a sliding door.
Matteo De Francesco and Nuova Jolly Marine Technical Department has done a really good work in creating an excellent inflatable boat featuring a balanced design-volume ratio.
The large deckhouse is the central component around which the whole project revolves; its sleek shape elegantly streamlines a definitively considerable volume while accommodating a cabin whose spaces are worthy of larger ribs.
A large plexiglass windshield efficiently protects the well-equipped pilot station from the wind.
Furthermore, the boat offers a wide range of optional equipment: bow thruster, teak deck, roll-bar, advanced electronic devices and elegant exteriors provide the owner with the best comfort level.
With a passenger capacity of ten people, the rib offers a stern dinette equipped with a folding electric table which can be easily converted into a sun pad. The pilot’s seat is embedded in a large cabinet that houses a sink, a refrigerator and cooking stoves.
The Hi-Power hull presents a deep V on the stempost and a 25-degree deadrise for excellent seaworthiness.
The maximum power the boat can install consists of 700 Hp. More specifically, the first model is powered by two Mercury Verado 300 hp outboards but, of course, both engine brand and power are totally customizable according to the owner’s needs.
For a complete understanding of performances, we just have to wait for our sea trial at the next Cannes Yachting Festival.
