Outremer 52 triumphs at the British Yachting Awards: here’s the 2023 yachting masterpiece

One satisfaction after another for Outremer 52, which a few days ago won the prestigious ‘Multihull of the Year’ award at the British Yachting Awards, reaching the pinnacle of an already exceptional 2023 for the French sailing catamaran shipyard, which presented this model only in late 2022.

The Outremer 52, the latest jewel in the fleet, caught the attention of the jury and the public, winning the award at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in London, thanks to her outstanding features and innovative design. The British Yachting Awards are known for rewarding excellence in the world of sailing, and Outremer 52’s victory testifies to her superiority in the international yachting scene, rewarding first and foremost her impressive seaworthiness.

Outremer 52 is inspired by her predecessors and combines the distinctive features of the legendary 51 with the comfort and modernity of the award-winning 55. The result is a catamaran that stands out as an authentic reference in the sailing world: designed to handle the most demanding cruising conditions, Outremer 52 offers a safe and comfortable sailing experience both when crossing the ocean and exploring coastal waters.

One of the Outremer 52’s most remarkable features is, in fact, her extraordinary seaworthiness, made possible thanks to world-renowned naval architects such as VPLP and French designers Patrick Le Quément and Darnet Design, who have contributed to creating a boat that is not only beautiful but also functional and truly well-designed, already becoming a true benchmark in the sailing world.

The next important appointment for the shipyard will be on January 20, 2024 at Boot Düsseldorf, where the famous ‘European Yacht of the Year 2024’ award will be presented. Twenty-one in total will be nominated for this prestigious award and Outremer 52 will compete for the title alongside two other multihulls to be judged by 12 sailing experts. F

Next February, all sailing enthusiasts will have the opportunity to admire and discover the Outremer 52 AWEN at the Miami International Boat Show, where the crew will present the outstanding performance of this revolutionary model.
