Pardo Endurance 60 : the evolution of the species

If Darwin’s was a scientific revolution, then there is no doubt that what Pardo Yachts introduced with the launch of the new Pardo Endurance 60 is an evolution of the species that is destined to leave an indelible mark in the yachting sector.

In fact, what Pardo Yachts has created goes further beyond the simple design improvement of a family of boats and trawlers with semi-displacement hulls. The shipyard has succeeded in a truly unprecedented undertaking since it has revolutionized a boat category that, though spacious, seaworthy and occasionally fascinating, has never been so sexy and elegant like this.

Please don’t misunderstand me. I love Grand Banks, for example, but when I think about beauty and design, my mind certainly does not go there.

And instead, the new Pardo Endurance 60 is extraordinarily enchanting and her unquestionable beauty makes you fall in love with her instantly. Perhaps also because she admirably synthesizes a series of features that, up to now, have never been seen on trawlers.

A proof of this is the flybridge that, although huge, fits imperceptibly into the Pardo Endurance 60 line, without weighing it down. This line is further enhanced by the presence of a walk-around deck plan that, neve seen before on a trawler of this size, eliminates the indispensable yet ugly stainless handrails we are used to while offering a perfect side view.

Equally undeniable is the charm exerted by the reverse bow that, in addition to increasing the waterline length (i.e. the maximum displacement speed), conveys this yacht a sporty image that is completely unusual for a trawler.

But the new flagship is not only beautiful. It required maximum effort in terms of research, study and design. The Technical Office of Cantiere del Pardo, in fact, availed of the collaboration of Davide Leone for the naval architecture and hull lines and Nauta Design for the interior design.

“The Endurance 60 is a project in which the ability to navigate well in displacement at 10/12 knots and to plane at 25 knots will excel – Gigi Servidati told us –  we have studied the hull lines in depth using CFD analysis, putting to good use the know-how we have accumulated over almost fifty years in the shipbuilding sector. Low consumption, controlled speed, silent and safe navigation to facilitate transfers at night: all these characteristics make the E60 a project in which eco-sustainability also becomes a value to be preserved. All these characteristics are held together by the elegant design and unmistakable style of every Pardo Yachts boat”.

The Pardo Endurance 60 in detail

The panoramic main deck eliminates  the boundaries between exteriors and interiors thanks to large windows and the accordion door of the cockpit which, when open, creates a single, very large, continuous space that starts from the control console and reaches up to the aft external sofa , which is also convertible into a sundeck.

Here, thanks to the folding topsides, you can have dinner and enjoy a spectacular view of the sea with a feeling of absolute freedom, taking advantage of a huge flat surface which, looking at the drawings, extends the maximum beam to more than seven meters!

The lower deck houses three cabins and three bathrooms which, enhanced by a modern reintroduction of teak, offer a fresh and bright interior style, ennobling the minimal style with the use of the precious wood par excellence.

The master cabin is positioned at the center of the boat and exploits the maximum width of the boat: the choice of this position is not casual but rather a strong message of how much the owner is at the center of this new project. Many details make this space the flagship of the interior layout: the vanity area for women, the comfortable sofa under the windows and the several large spacious wardrobes. The master bathroom is luxury and extraordinarily wide.

Positioned in the bow with its private bathroom, the VIP cabin, instead, is available in a double version: with bed that can be split into two single beds or one double bed, depending on the owner’s needs. The third cabin offers two single well-sized beds and a dedicated bathroom.

Equally interesting is the position of the crew cabin which , positioned under the sundeck area in the stern, is equipped with twin beds, a toilet area and direct access to the engine room.

Great freedom is left to the owner to customize the new Endurance 60 according to his specific needs. All the furniture, in line with the historic style of the shipyard, is entirely made by Cantiere del Pardo’s shipwrights.
