PERINI NAVI “SEVEN”. ITALIAN BANKER ENNIO DORIS’ YACHT AT MONACO YACHT SHOW

Perini Navi, the Italian shipyard founded by Fabio Perini that has established itself as the world leader in the design and manufacturing of sailing and motor megayachts, launched its new 60-metre “Seven” ketch at the just ended Monaco Yacht Show. It’s the third unit of the already successful series including the Seahawk and the Perseus^3.

This way, the hulls launched by Perini Navi become 62 in total.

An Italian boat for an Italian owner: Ennio Doris, Il Perini Navi Seven in occasione del varo a Viareggio.founder of Mediolanum S.p.A, a large Italian banking, funds management and insurance group.  Doris is a loyal customer of the Viareggio-based boatyard. In fact, with the Seven, he replaces another Perini craft, the 42-metre Principessa VaiVia, purchased some years ago from the former owner Silvio Berlusconi. ” Seven because seven is the number of my grandchildren“, commented Ennio Dorsi. ” With this new yacht we can all sail together, a passion that unites us and brings us together. I love Perini Navi yachts because they connect us with nature, with the magic of the sea, indescribable sensations like the rustling of the wind, the movement of waves, without never giving up modern conveniences”. The owner also added: ” When you are on board a Perini Navi yacht, you can discover the true meaning of Made in Italy. Seven is the result of a project characterized by the artistic, creative and aesthetic spirit that uniquely distinguishes Italian excellence in the world. The owner is Italian, the yard is Italian, as is the crew and the architect who designed it. Even the flag is Italian“.

The pencil which the banker refers to is that of Dante O. Benini, a famous Italian designer active in various fields, such as architecture, city planning, interior and, of course, yacht design. In the yachting field, he designed a dozen yachts, including the small Cantieri di Sarnico Spider and VSY 64-metre yachts. In this case, the Milan-based architect took care of interiors while waterlines were designed by New Zealand designer Ron Holland.

During the press conference organized to present this yacht, Perini Navi also unveiled two other interesting news. The first concerns the upcoming arrival of the fourth unit in the 60M sailing series which Seven belongs to. The other news concerns the signing of a letter of intents for the construction of  a new 42-metre sloop that can represents a synthesis of the technological and constructive skills of the Italian shipyard.

Furthermore, the press conference provided the occasion to make public the re-unification of boh sailing and motor lines under a single brand. From now on, in fact, the Perini Navi logo will incorporate the Picchiotti brand, in line with the new “One Brand, One Company” philosophy.

Lamberto Tacoli, Chairman and CEO of Perini Navi, explains: “Seven is an important project and a challenge that marked the beginning of the new path undertaken by the company, following on from the agreement between Fabio Perini and Tabacchi family, who joined the company management last year. We’ve chosen to unite sailing and motor yachts under the Perini Navi brand and are launching innovative product liens. We strongly believe in the projects we are working on; today, we announce the sale of a new 60M superyacht and the signing of a letter of intents for a new 42-metre sloop. The aim is to strengthen our offer by keeping intact the tradition, quality and innovation that are indispensable values for Perini Navi”
