The private submarine is the last water toy which can’t be missed on a superyacht. Big transparent bubbles which dive and lead their future owners into depths, barrier reefs and inaccessible wrecks (unless you are a scuba diver with 100 metres of auonomy underwater).
At the Boat Show of Shangai (dedicated to big yachts and the most exaggerated luxure and which took place from April 7th to 10th), U-Boat Worz, a Dutch company specialised in high-tech toys, presented its C-Explorer 3 and Super Yacht Sub 3, the smallest among the private submarines on the market.
Through their window-bubble, they offer to passengers a 360-degree-view; propulsion is ensured by an electric engine powered by litium batteries with an autonomy of 16 hours in C-Explorer 3 and 8 hours in Super Yacht Sub 3. This one is available in three models, which can reach a depth of 100,200 or 300 metres.
Inside, of course, comfort is great and they are provided with air conditioned, a bluetooth stereo and leather seats.
How much do they cost? If you are satisfied in reaching 100 metres of depth you will get by with 1.5 million Euros; if you want to climb down more, price rises!
