If ice and cold don’t frighten you and if you love extreme experiences, you can’t miss these cruises to Southern Georgia and Antarctic. Lands difficult even to imagine and, at least at first, hostile. But an experience there is simply unforgettable.
The cruises we propose are organised by Skip Novak.
Once regattas set aside, he is been working at Ushuaia, in the extreme South of Argentina, for years and there he has become the reference point for all sailors. With its Pelagic Expeditions he arranges cruises and expeditions for people who, after reading his books and seeing his documentaries, decide to live these experiences.
“My aim – he tells us – has always been to promote navigation even in the remotest places of the earth”.
This year, you can join two cruises to Southern Georgia. Available tickets are few but they still exist. The departure and arrival point is Falklands. From September 10th to October 15th, you can also enjoy the “spring cruise”. Five weeks on Pelagic Australis, where you can enjoy travels and excursions on snow rackets and skiing following Shacketon.
The second part, always from Falklands, will start on October 22nd until November 19th. This is the best season to see local faune.
The last occasion to see the South is from December 1st to December 21st, but this time Pelagic Australis will sail along the western coast of the Antarctic peninsula. The departure is from Puerto Williams in Chile, on Beagle Channel.
