PRESTIGE YACHTS: conquering the FLIBS with an impressive fleet

PRESTIGE YACHTS‘ participation in the upcoming FLIBS (Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show) will be decidedly important. An effort aimed at highlighting the incredible design effort put forth by the shipyard in its latest months, a momentous work that has given birth to true masterpieces.

Shining examples of this are the brand-new PRESTIGE M8 and the beautiful flagship, the PRESTIGE X70, two boats that are, in fact, revolutionizing the very way we experience the sea.

But the list of boats on display is much longer, in fact there will be six boats that can be visited during the world’s largest in-water boat show, which, as usual, will open its doors on the last weekend of October, more precisely on Wednesday 25th, to accommodate the usual huge influx of visitors until Sunday 29th.

PRESTIGE YACHTS: the boats on display at FLIBS 2023

PRESTIGE M8

We have seen, studied and tested her.

Far more than a catamaran, she is the latest evolutionary stage of superyachts that undeniably comes with all the advantages of the large surfaces typical of this category, with a touch of great class that only a master like Camillo Garroni could give to this masterpiece.

PRESTIGE M48

A 15-meter multihull that can offer the comforts of a seaside villa with the stability of a catamaran. The forefather of PRESTIGE YACHTS’ new M Line, M48 is an impressive six meters wide and is powered by two Volvo Penta D4 V-Drives of 320 horsepower each, which quietly allow it to reach speeds of up to 20 knots.

X70

To call it innovative would be an understatement. Able to perfectly combine the speed of a flybridge motoryacht with the liveability of a trawler, X70 is designed to allow for long and highly enjoyable cruises. Noteworthy is the relocation of the side-decks to the upper deck, a stroke of genius that allows the maximum beam to be available at the level of the main bridge, thus realizing spaces of a higher category boat.

X60

Another brainchild of Camillo Garroni, PRESTIGE YACHTS’ X60 measures just under 19 meters in length by nearly five meters in beam. Fitted with two 600-horsepower engines, she reaches a maximum speed of 25 knots.

PRESTIGE 520 and PRESTIGE 460

Two boats that need no introduction. Pillars of the Flybridge category, they measure 16.11 and 14.29 meters in overall length, respectively, and both are capable of impressive cruising speeds.

Luca D'Ambrosio

Editor-in-chief, boat tester and journalist. Luca began sailing at an early age with his father then as an adult discovered sailing regattas and offshore racing. He has been working in publishing for more than 30 years and continues to sail incessantly, especially aboard the editorial staff's boat, an old lady of the seas that he has completely rebuilt and which serves excellently as a "mobile laboratory" for The International Yachting Media.
