Quick Group, a leading global player in the naval engineering sector, has enthusiastically announced the acquisition of Yachting Marine Service (YMS), an important service hub based in Florida. This operation reaffirms Quick’s commitment to providing integrated and high-quality solutions, positioning itself as a comprehensive service provider in America.
Through Quick USA, the Group has revealed the acquisition of YMS, a company with over 35 years of experience, specializing in servicing superyachts and high-end brands. This strategic step further strengthens the Group‘s presence in the United States, demonstrating a continuous commitment to offering complete support to shipyards and owners.
“The acquisition of Yachting Marine Service is a fantastic step forward for Quick Group, not only in bolstering our presence in the US but also in developing a holistic end-to-end offering for customers by further building a comprehensive service component in our portfolio,” says Marco Santoro, Managing Director of Quick USA.
The acquisition not only expands Quick’s geographical reach in the United States but also enriches its portfolio of skills. Lorenzo Turdo, co-founder of YMS, will remain at the helm of the service team, bringing valuable expertise to ensure first-class technical support for the Group’s products. “The expertise of our highly trained technicians enables Quick to offer comprehensive and personalized support to customers. We look forward with optimism to this new chapter and continuous growth, anticipating tangible benefits both for our organization and for the Group customers”, Mr. Turdo explains.
YMS, known as one of the primary service centers for superyachts and major recreational boating brands, has closely collaborated with Quick USA in recent years, providing scheduled maintenance and signing service contracts with top American dealers and shipyards.
The acquisition of Yachting Marine Service marks Quick Group’s first significant step in 2024, following a 2023 that saw the inclusion of important companies such as Sanguineti Chiavari, Nemo Industrie, and Xenta Systems. With a strong presence in global boating markets, the Group reaffirms its leadership in technical nautical equipment, with a dedicated focus on the promising US market.
